GT #69: Wizards (35-33) @ Lakers (22-45) 10:30 PM CSN
The Lakers play zero defense and leave shooters open all the time. They also don't have a lot of healthy bodies. Guys at the bottom of this list are "hurt" or in D'Antoni's doghouse. Maybe Nick makes his return against some of his former teammates tonight?
Kendall Marshall will probably go off against the Wizards.
Lakers also are already eliminated from the playoffs, just the 6th time ever they're missing the playoffs.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we lost this one.

Nick Young drops 82, LAL win in OT.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I predicted the Wizards would lose @SAC and @POR. I figure they're win this one and probably @UTA in our next game. The injury-depleted Wizards can't beat half-decent West Conference teams on the road, but they can beat bad, tanking teams who are playing out the string.

@nate33, you mean Denver, right?
Anyways, its a must win game. Call me crazy but alot of times you see teams lose 2 tough games b2b and everyone assumes they will win the 3rd game against a bad team but they end up looking like flat garbage which makes everyone panic. However, the game ended up not being that close last night so our guys should be ready to get the W. If we play D like we did yesterday though, it doesnt matter. They will carve us up.
I expect Wall to dominate the game like he did last year at LA but wouldnt be shocked if he looked flat. You can never tell with him. If he's aggressive and can play 36 plus minutes then he should win this game darn near by himself. He should be able to just flat out carve up that D and do anything he wants to. Marshall will probably try to show the hometown Wiz what they are missing but Wall can flat out dominate him if he chooses to.
Again, I would love to see us go with someone else at the 4 but Im the only one talking about it so I guess its not bothering others and I dont think Witt will make a change

I hope so. Gortat may not be the greatest rim protector on the planet, but at least he knows what he is doing on defensive rotations. It was embarrassing to see how many open layups we gave to Portland last night. Seraphin did his job but got in foul trouble. When Gooden or Harrington were asked to play center in his place, it was a disaster. Booker was pretty lousy too.

A must win, but...
Swaggy P drops 30 on us and Cast Away (i.e. - Marshall) hits us with 10 dimes.
We lose going away....all of a sudden the 7 seed is looking realistic

Wall has to dominate these matchups. No defensive team, no defensive bigs, and 2 slow PGs. Wall should attack all day and have atleast 20 & 10 type of game

I was impressed by Seraphin moving his feet and communicating on D...Protected the rim well in that first quarter

What about 24 and 16 from Wall as he did exactly one year ago tonight at Staples?

Absolutely. But he had 24 and 14 last night... just trying to get the guy a little HELPing on the side.
And agreed on everything Seraphin. You want him to be aggressive on D (like his highlight block on Lillard last night), but he HAS to stay out of foul trouble.

that KS crap still has alot to do with Witt. Im sick of coaches who automatically sit guys with 2 or 4 fouls. I agree with JVG on that. Sometimes you have to trust guys, especially vets. However, even if you want to sit guys its cool but KS didnt come back into the game until 3min were left. That means he only played 16 real minutes during the game. We got dominated when he went out. How come he cant get more than 16min? He went out in the 3rd with almost 8min left in the quarter and didnt play again until like 2:27 in the 4th. Thats a joke. Where Im from, even if you sit with 4, you still come back in at the start of the 4th, especially when they were owning our defense

Until Seraphin really commits himself to learning how to defend the paint area, he'll probably continue to commit bad fouls and jeopardize his chances of impacting games just like last night. I hear you on Wittman, but Seraphin has to act like he cares about playing a smarter brand of basketball, especially on defense. He's got the strength and quickness...
