This should be great. An era in the NBA that will never be repeated, the talent level at the top was so great, and the Pistons somehow won it all. Twice. What a wonderful time those years were. What heart. What determination.
In the midst of the horrific current state of the franchise that has absolutely no heart or determination, it will be terrific to reflect back on those days.
And don't forget ESPN has added a third hour in studio to continue the discussion at 10pm. Three hours in total.

Before the bad boys there was a long drought... it makes winning more enjoyable.
Around 2006 there became a sense of entitlement... A loud & rowdy crowd (alternators), became a caviar eatin', no fun, library snooze fest.

I love the Bad Boys. I really do but I've learned enough about them over the years. When will they make a 30 for 30 about the 04 Pistons?

That's never happening. The 04 Pistons were a nice story about a bunch of misfits, but few outside of the Detroit area would watch it.

I don't know if they will, but it'd be cool if they did. I'd also like one on the Popovich Era in SA.

Re: 30 for 30: The Bad Boys
I started with the Pistons in 1985 so I got to witness them finally get past Atlanta after failure. Finally get past Boston after failure. Then, finally get past the Lakers after failure. So many years of hurdles where they kept working as a team to get to the next level. It was a struggle to reach perfection and a great pleasure to be a part of.
Provin Ya'll Wrong!!!

I don't know about that, I'm sure a lot of people would like to watch a 30 for 30 about one of the greatest teams in the history of the NBA. If people outside of Detroit would watch a 30 for 30 about the Bad Boy Pistons then why wouldn't they want to watch a 30 for 30 about the Going to work Pistons?

Very little National appeal...they'd have to do a 30 for 30 on the old Lakers, Celtics, and Bulls before even considering the 04 Pistons. Bad boys had a bunch of personalities...they were polarizing and hated. Makes for good TV and good ratings.

a 30/30 about pops spurs would be nice but it'd never have the appeal.

The Detroit/Boston highlights alone will make this worth the watch. I remember as a kid watching Danny Ainge shove Joe Dumars in the back and daring him to fight and Joe never responded. I've never seen a highlight of this but I remember it well for some reason.

Re: 30 for 30: The Bad Boys
What made that era so great is that the players really HATED the other teams players.
When the Pistons played the Bulls and Celtics, it was a war that didn't end with the final buzzer.
He!!, Parrish tried to kill Laimbeer in the 87 playoffs. I'll never forget the 3 or 4 punches he threw while the referee just let him continue to play.
After you watched them play a game in the Boston Garden you felt like you had been out there playing. They were exhausting. Bird was just relentless.
