People are talking about how great the West playoffs are going to be, and maybe so later on, but I don't see one big upset in the 1st round tbh.

Portland could beat Houston, but 5 over 4 is hardly a big upset.

West is so overrated, I kinda like idea of open playoffs so more eastern teams could kick western asses.

Actually almost all the west teams are stacked. There are no weak teams. Every team has a fair chance and any team can win. That's why most NBA fans are excited about it.

The only sure thing would be Spurs over Dallas. But remember Dallas is a veteran team and Spurs in the past did lose in the first round before. So anything is possible.

There are no "super friends" no injury riddled teams in the West. Just a bunch of stacked teams going head to head. What NBA fan doesn't wanna see that... :P

Nope not gonna happen. Clips don't play defense. It'll be Heat vs OKC.

Although, I am hoping for a Bulls vs Spurs final. 8-)

I wish Memphis or Dallas had come up against the Clippers. GS has Bogut hurt and I don't think they are good match-up now for the Clippers. And, GS has been kind of like the Indiana of the West with all their drama.

Well.. I am totally opposite in my view. I never care about individual players. All I care how the team performs and how the individual impacts the team. Who cares if CP3 gets 20 assists a game or Curry shoots 60% on his 3 point shots if their teams lose.

So in crucial moments your not looking to see how the star players respond?

I would understand your point of view if you was talking about your own team but were talking about other teams that we don't even root for.

Major plus Re. For all the hoopla during the season, upsets would be shocking. Except for 4-5 which like you I don't consider an upset really.

And yes I know the Bulls are a 4 seed, in the east the 3-6 isn't really an upset either way imo.

The games will be entertaining no doubt, but I still don't see that high chances for upsets.

There is still a hierarchy top to bottom. The Eastern Conference used to be like this a long time ago, I think people have just forgotten due to how crappy its been the last 10 to 15 years.

And that would be a three-peat for Miami.

If OKC couldn't beat Miami with Harden in 2012, what makes them think they can do it now? Yeah, they got the MVP on their team but Durant has to be firing on all cylinders throughout the series in order for that to happen.

Toronto/Brooklyn should be great, don't underestimate this Raps team folks.

Our series should be nice and competitive too.

Some great matchups in the West. Spurs should take down the Mavs, but they will have to face the resistance of Dirk. Timmy/Dirk is always a joy to watch. Clippers/Warriors might be one of the most highlight filled series of the whole playoffs, that'll be a lot of fun. Without Bogut I think the Warriors are lucky to win more than a game or 2 though.

Houston/Portland should be tight and exciting too.

My 1st round choices -
EAST - Indiana/Miami/Toronto/Chicago
WEST - San Antonio/OKC/LA/Houston

Would you look at that, all the higher seeded teams. I guess many would consider me picking the Raptors a surprise though.

And that would bring a massive smile to my face. They have an unlikeable team with Dwight and Harden being the reason.
Why so serious?
