That was a thought, but I figured the Kings would want a higher end talent(asset) to sell to their fans instead of the obvious salary dump.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

There is no way to ever know that in advance. In the abstract, I still think 32 is more valuable than 29.
Was there ever a trade where a team with late 1st had to add value to dump that pick for an early 2nd?

Last year the Nuggets traded the 27th pick to the Jazz for the 46th pick and cash. Who knows how much cash was thrown in but I don't think you need to add in more than a few bucks to move from #32 to #29 as opposed to another pick.
I guess maybe a better way of saying what I meant is the #29 pick is more valuable to a team like the Sixers while the #32 is probably more valuable to a team like Thunder so that you could probably swap the picks without adding really anything of value to either side.

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

Also, last year the Wolves traded the 26th pick and Malcolm Lee to the Warriors for a 2014 second round pick and cash. Not sure how you balance Malcolm Lee vs. cash but this is pretty darn close to the situation you proposed.

No from Sacramento, if you want the 7 take back Carl Landry instead of Terry.

well, picks were always sold for a couple of millins, doesn't really mean much
3M used to be the norm for late 1st

I like it, but I think the 76ers would have to take Jason Terry back too. Which I would be fine with.

If the Kings insisted on dumping Terry into this, I think the Sixers would still do it.

I think the picks are being valued to highly here, even in this draft. I can't see a team paying 10M+ (Terry/Prince) even in expiring deals, to move up 3 spots.
Every year people come out with 'tiers of talent' and every year there are guys who are either picked way out of that order... or who are picked in that order but preform way out of said order.

I agree with this, if we are taking back Prince and Terry just to move up 3 spots I would want another pick for next year. Top 5 protected next year, if not conveyed then top 3 the following, unprotected the following.
