If someone had told me before the game that the wizards would shoot 5-18 from 3 with 19 turnovers i would say it was a lock to be a loss.

Awesome to watch. I've been to two home playoff games...both losses.
I will not be going to the game Thursday .

LOL, despite all that were up by 30 and win by 23?
It's unbelievable that we've allowed Indy to win 3 games this series. I think Brooklyn or Toronto would have taken Indy out. I kinda believe Chicago is coached so well, that they may have taken Indy out too.
If Wall is aggressive like he was last night, we should win the next two pretty easily. Indy is basically begging to be eliminated, but we just haven't taken advantage of the opportunities to do so.

We've been in every game except Game 3. This should be 3-2 Wiz heading back to DC, but it is what it is. I'll take an extra day two or however many days are left in the season lol.

I disagree.
When both teams play at their peak, Indy is the better team; their best is better than ours. I think the regular season records and metrics bear that out. But we've seen their best for what -- a game, game and a half this series? I have absolutely no sense of what Indy team will show up from night to night. I think the odds are that they still show up enough to win one of game 6 or 7, but absolutely nothing would shock me at this point.

I agree with fish... they are talented but dysfunctional. You never know who is going to show up. The could just fold over the next couple of games - or they could have 1 really good game in the next two and we done.

Yeah, I hear you but we haven't been getting the Indy team from earlier in the regular season, I think you can throw out their regular season record and metrics because that's not the team were seeing now. They haven't put together one solid game that makes you say, wow, they look like a legitimate #1 seed. They've had exactly one good quarter IMO where they looked like a legitimate contender (3rd quarter of game 3) and that was with a lot of our help. Other than that, they've rode Hibbert to a victory. George to a victory and tons of Wizards blown opportunities and miscues to a 3-2 series lead. This is the exact same team that got throttled by Atlanta on multiple occasions. In most years, this team wouldn't sniff the conference finals... but the level of competition is making that possible.
Fact is there's really only one legitimate contender in the East right now and even Miami has tons of flaws ready to be exposed.

I got he game on DVR and I'm gonna watch it again from now.
our power went out about 845 last night. I had no idea what happened.
Poewr wasn't restored until ~ 6 am. Arghhh!
This AM watched as far as my DVR recorded it, then flipped to NBATV and caught
the rest on replay (which is kinda dissatisfying) but man, what a beat-down.
Which leaves us 1-1 in beatdown games, 1-2 in close games.
Good to finally see John outplay his counterpart. And for the Gortat sighting.
If we had closed better, we'd be resting for MIA now instead of being
faced with having to win 2 more in a row. C'est la vie. It's now respectable
and could even get truly interesting especially if we were to win gm 6 convincingly.
I'm not predicting that. I'm kinda with Bobby D, almost afraid to go to gm 6
not wanting to watch them celebrate on our floor. But seeing as we have
yet to beat them at home, we're arguably due. We know we're not a great
home team, but we shouldn't be this bad either.
how bout that record setting rebound discrepancy! Maybe Vogel said we're the best
(def) rebounding team too many teams and they forgot you still have to go out and prove it.

I mean, law of large numbers, ratios, whatever you wanna call it, you can't have THIS many bad games at home in the playoffs. 4 home games this playoffs and we lost 3 of them. Terrible. We gotta get a good game again at home at some point and I think (really it has to be lol) it's Game 6. We got close Game 4 and I think we're just due.Spoiler:
exactly - we should be able to win at least one game per series at home.
That said, IND has to be embarrassed by the last game and will undoubtedly
play with passion on THU.
We need a Nene sighting and for John to play another similar game to gm 5.
And not let PG drop 40 on us.

correction - as per another post. 3rd highest in NBA history, highest since 1971.
A definite outlier.

Since game one, the teams have been evenly rested. I'm not sure on what
basis you're saying one team was more rested than the other. No one is
playing extra games in between the games where they're playing each other.

add in if they also mentioned that one team (unspecified) had a 39 rebound advantage

before game five vogel was actually trying to rest the players because they were really tired and look at the egg they laid. what happened the game before? they had to make a furious comeback and expended more energy is my theory.

I don't buy this notion that the after-affects of playing "furiously hard" are so detrimental that they can be felt two days later relative to the after-effects of a normal team playing "normally hard".
Fatigue doesn't last two days. Injuries do, but not fatigue. It's possible that Indy has some players dinged up more so than the Wizards, but their poor showing in Game 5 is not because they were more tired because they somehow played harder than the Wizards in Game 4.
