Re: The Amazingly Sucky Theodore Leonsis Thread
Uncle Ted did good when he and Ernie traded for Andre Miller. They didn't dwell on a mistake. I also love both the Drew Gooden and the Al Harrington acquisitions. Those veterans add some needed mental toughness and confidence, as well as playoff experience.
If they get past Chicago, I'm good with Ted's short term strategy; even with the cost of burning the pick.
I still want them to name Troy Weaver GM (in hopes of luring Melo or Durant), but I'm okay with Ernie staying on in a higher position.

You've pretty much summed it up for me as well, ccj.

Oh the pearls of wisdom logged in this thread. Not sure which one is a bigger mountain of fail, the fire EG thread or this one.
If we don't have a Ted Shrine, he deserves one.
He has been a really good owner. He made the right decisions as an owner that have totally rebuilt this franchise from one of the league worst, to something we can all enjoy and be proud of.
Props to Ted.

Ted has been real quiet though all the Ws.
I don't disagree. Why step to the front until farther into the season.
But I am looking forward to hearing from him at some point.

Right now I nominate this the most relevant thread ever.
The longer Ernie & Flip are a part of this organization, the bigger the hole the next GM will have to dig this organization out of.
I don't think enough folks realize how bad an idea it was for Teddy not to totally clean house when he became owner.
Truer words have never been said.

This one is great.
Let's be proud of the fact that Washington has great sports venues, FOR OTHER TEAMS FANS TO GO TO.
The dig at Boston is classic Teddie.
Double bottom line, am I right?!
This we knew. This makes sense.
DC is a great city; offers great services and great value to fans coming to visit and take in a game. We have more than 100,000 hotel rooms, three airports in close proximity; and the best dining. We are also one of the safest and most secure communities on the planet.
Read this one. We should be proud.
Note that Boston didn't make this list.

What do you think of when you think of DC?
Personally, I think of the 100,000 hotel rooms.

I laughed. Ted is so focused on what's good for Ted that he can't see the forest from the trees.

The audacity to invoke title town... This coming from an owner that popped streamers after winning a regular season game that broke a pretty dire losing streak

As long as people like Ted and Dan Snyder own our teams, we'll never win titles.

Good luck on numbers 41 & 42.
If there's a fan of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, you know the importance of 42.

Dude is such an egomaniac. I especially like Section III, -- Possessions. Way to brag about being materialistic. Idiot.
Pretty much everything on his list after Section I has to do with being ridiculously wealthy.
Idiot.I hope he fulfills #84 quickly especially if it's one way. I'll drive him to Cape Canaveral myself.
Hope Mark Cuban buys this team.

I will say that his goal to give away 100 Million is noble. He can start by giving away the Wizards to a better owner.

Probably not noble. Probably just scared he won't be remembered for his shiny stuff.
I like the one about swimming with Great White Sharks. There's hope.
