Yeah he is playing bad on purpose in a contract year(to decrease his value so he isn't the captain anymore) just to get his revenge for some internet memes.
Seems legit

****, he didn't even exert any effort tonight. He looked tired and disinterested. He also needs to develop a shot fake and drive to the basket once in a while instead of his typical step back fade.
LOL BS? Occam's razor buddy. Whats more likely...pissed off at internet nerds or coming back to a performance level consistent with his career average?
Must be internet nerdz!

This place is insufferable.

Love the emotional , over-reacting threads after losses from fellow Raptor fans, where they come up with some rubbish theory as to why the team is losing.

Thank you Clutch0z24

You're either a drunk 15 year old girl or an overly sensitive 10 year old. Posts like this are the reason realgm has gone totally down hill

I will say though that I think Lou sees himself as a very goodlooking dude so I did think it bothered him. Was it enough to effect his play? I dont think so but it is a distraction if everyone calls you something that you dont want to be known as

Boogie! wrote:lol… oh man… okay, let me keep it real… i fully expect lou to be a streaky player and i know he's gonna have some **** games… he's never been that efficient or great throughout his career… i even suggested that he'd barely get any minutes here as soon as the trade was announced because i didn't feel he was that much better than vasquez… and honestly, HE ISN'T, no matter what you guys think… but that little hot streak he had to start the year had everyone thinking he was the G.O.A.T when in reality, he's just really really streaky… and it still was a good trade considering who we gave up and his overall impact on games, but it's naive to expect he'll score 20 points off the bench every night... just like sometimes vasquez gets hot and starts nailing 3 after 3, he's the same way… he's just a more crafty scorer overall, but there will be some nights where he'll look like absolute ****… and that's to be expected… people just need to temper their overall expectations with the guy… he's always been a SOLID scorer off the bench, but all this talk about all-star consideration and him being 6th man of the year was premature…
that being said, i know that realistically, the captain comments won't affect his play on the court… i've dealt with my share of insults and bullying but at the end of the day, it doesn't affect how i perform my job on a day to day basis necessarily, and if anything, makes me want to prove myself even more and work harder… but at the same time, he is still a human being, and my whole argument was that words are still words and the smallest things like cheesy insults can still have the biggest impact on our own perception of ourselves and our self worth… i mean, i could be the richest person in the world and if someone called me ugly, i would probably still be offended by it, and it might make me feel like **** for the rest of the day… on the outside, it's probably not gonna change how i go about life, but the fact that the idea now exists in my head, might bother me a little bit… and depending on how much my looks affected my confidence and the way i valued myself that in turn MIGHT affect how i acted around people or performed my job or flirted with women or whatever… it also MIGHT NOT… but i was arguing with the people that just discredited that idea altogether… that were so naive or ignorant to guarantee that jokes (which he actually took the time to reply to - if he didn't care that much about them or they had no affect on him whatsoever, he would've probably just ignored them) had no chance affecting him whatsoever… and that is just false. anything as small as a stupid internet joke can affect anyone at any given time…
that's why you always hear the notion that ideas create reality… that what we think determines who we are and how we act. that how we perceive ourselves determines how successful we are in life. what we say and how we treat others always has an affect on other people and sometimes it's not always in the way we want it to… that's why it's always important to think before you act because we can never know HOW someone will interpret something…
again, this is not me saying that he's been playing like **** BECAUSE of those captain comments… like i said, my original comment in that thread was tongue in cheek… he's a streaky player and he has been throughout his career and there's no way the numbers he was putting up were sustainable… and so him having **** games from time to time is to be expected… but that has no correlation to the fact that those comments still HAVE THE POSSIBILITY of affecting him or offending him… and his performance on the court is not necessarily an indicator that those comments have or have not affected him… meaning, even if he's still putting up amazing numbers and playing like an all-star, there's no way to say that the captain comments have or haven't made him a little less self-assured as a person…
tl;dr: blah blah blah lou sucks blah blah blah maybe he's upset that he's the captain?

Anyone who thinks this needs to get over themselves. Lou Williams doesn't care about a bunch of dumb Canadians. These guys play for each other first and foremost. Fans are just along for the ride. Lou Williams doesn't give a damn about the average Raptor fan and he shouldn't. We must be pretty special to have people play for us without even knowing who we are. Get over it and just enjoy the ride.

His game revolves around iso and jump shots. He's bound to have bad shooting nights.

If there is anything that might have put Lou off his game, I can guarantee you it wasn't some stupid social media nonsense. If you are even willing to entertain that thought then you don't know anything about anything.
There is no great mystery here.
Lou is 13 of 42 in the 4 games since Demar went down. Teams were already starting to pay more attention to Lou and Demar's injury just made it that much easier. To his credit, he is taking fewer shots and not forcing things.

The absurd mystery of the strange forces of existence.

Lou just needs another woman in his life. I get the feeling his sex life is becoming stale and it's affecting his game.

Re: Lou Williams - Captain Comments, WTF?!??!
It seems like this board can only overvalue or undervalue players.
This is what Lou Williams is; a streak scorer who can be red hot or ice cold on any given night. That's a great asset to have off the bench in a 6th man type role, but you take the good with the bad. This offence seems to have enough weapons to score when those contested fadeaways aren't falling, so complaining about it seems to be a consequence of setting unreasonable expectations for him.
He's a combo guard/undersized Derozan. If you appreciate him for what he is, and recognize what he isn't, it's easier not to go hysterical during shooting stumps.
