Really hard to say, his draft class is pretty damn good...and he didn't make it last year. He will get a lot of touches though this year, maybe that will help

This is exactly why I think he has a good chance. If he can average around 13/4/3 (which is very possible), he'll garner some attention. The assists might be his biggest challenge.

Hrm:

http://www.nba.com/2010/news/04/30/allr ... index.html

He only got one vote last year, probably from Doug Smith or something...

Other players receiving votes, with point totals (first place votes in parentheses): Wesley Matthews, Utah, 16 (3); Omri Casspi, Sacramento, 13; Chase Budinger, Houston, 8; Ty Lawson, Denver, 7; Jrue Holiday, Philadelphia, 7 (1); Serge Ibaka, Oklahoma City, 6 (1); Toney Douglas, New York, 2 (1); Rodrigue Beaubois, Dallas, 1; Sam Young, Memphis, 1; DeMar, DeRozan, 1.

Hopefully he steps up big time next year...2nd year is when stars shine.

Wow, not a bad draft class. DeRozan, Evans, Curry, Jennings, Holiday, Griffin, Rubio, Beaubois, etc.

I think DD will outplay Bargs for the face of the franchise.

DeRozan was underused last season. He was there to learn how to play defense, and was used as a spot up shooter with Bosh.

If we change his role this year and give him more chances on the offense, I think he can be have more votes. With injuries and some players might have setback years, I think most likely he will play in the sophomore game.

Who used him as a spot up shooter? He cannot shoot, lol

I don't want to write him off, but it'd take an improvement to the lofty RGM standards for him to make it, ie he'd need 13pts minimum, probably 4-5 reb, 2-3 asts and a combined 1+ steal and block to make it. I don't know if he'll get those numbers right off the bat, which he'll need to seeing as ASG votes start pretty early.

I think he's better than Toney Douglas, Jrue Holiday (over-rated IMO), and Budinger (also over-rated IMO).
Just we didn't utilize DD, as half the time we were doing Bosh ISO plays. Not to mention, he looks much improved over this past summer... I know its summer league, but he looked like he was crusing and still owning the competition.

Holiday will get his chances this year too, as will Douglas (he will get stats at the very least in D'antoni's system), so I think they will both get more votes than DD, but Budinger is to me, more of a glue guy than anything - I think DD will outperform him and get more votes than him this season for several reasons, including the improved health in Houston.

Don't forget Lawson and Collison (IMHO,they are better of Jennings and Holyday )
I've seen all the UCLA's game 3 years ago ( i liked Love)
Love was fantastic (and i wanna see Love+Bargs) but i liked more Collison than Westbrook

P.s. If i was BC i draft Lawson last year (my first POSSIBLE choice was Curry)

^--- Thing is, you aren't really a fan of the team itself :-?

I mean, if we are being honest with ourselves, we'll admit that, right?

And lest you try to say that I wasn't a fan of the team, just one of CB...well CB is gone, but I'm still here

No, not because he isn't Canadian, because he bashes pretty much everyone else on the team BUT Bargnani.

Well I wouldnt be so quick to label someone something based on such circumstantial evidence lest you look like a _____.

Ive seen him posting lots of times in threads that have nothing to do with Bargnani. And not all of it is hating on the young guns.

Besides, why do you care what he says about D lvl NBA talent like Sonny Weems and Jarret Jack. I think they both suck too, and I like Bargnani. I'm not a raptor fan?

Take your statement, then think through the logical implications of it. It is quite possible you've answered one of your own questions. A little bit of reasoning goes a long way
