Westbrook has achieved the god tier of athleticism in my book which was reserved for Wilt, Shaq, Lebron, Dr. J, MJ, and Vince; and Rose in his prime was in the tier directly below. But I'm still going with Lebron on this one. Too strong.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

LeBron, without question.

You have to look at the entire picture. LeBron is leagues beyond Rose and Westbrook in terms of strength. He's a 6'8'' - 250 dude that runs the court like a quick guard. Rose and Westbrook are incredibly agile and explosive, but first Cavs stint LeBron wasn't anything less in that department.

2009 LeBron is the greatest athlete I've ever seen on an NBA court, so I'm going with him

I'll take the guy that's 260+ lbs. with a freight train for legs and is able to jump with the best of them.

Young LeBron is the best athlete the league has ever had alongside Wilt Chamberlain.

Clearly Lebron. He had the best combination of speed, strength and leaping ability that I've ever seen; not to mention his massive size and tremendous dexterity and continuity.

1) James because of his size/athleticism ratio
2) Rose because of his fluidity (where James is lacking a little bit)
3) Westbrook (essentially a small version of Lebron)

Are we counting Bron's size here cut if so he's easily the answer. Rose is second IMO. That speed is amazing.

What do you mean by "pure athleticism" and "qualifiers"?

I mean best athlete not best athlete for their size

You can't seperate the two, though. Strength is a part of athleticism. And the argument about LeBron being a 6'8'' - 250 man running the court like a guard isn't that he's athletic "for his size", it's that he can match the athleticism of uber athletic guards and add his size and strength into the mix.

Were talking strictly athleticism..it's Westbrook. Size is not athleticism. Does that mean shaq is a better athlete than Jordan bc of things he can do at his size 7'1 300 something pounds? No. Rose is actually slightly more explosive than Westbrook but I gave the edge to Westbrook bc of similar explosiveness but insanely high motor. I never seen a fast twitch athlete in the history of nba with the the amount of stamina/endurance he has. LeBron is the clear best athletic specimen of the 3..but that wasn't the original question.

James
Westbrook

Rose

I don't think Rose compares to the other two, IMO. LeBron and Russ are all-time level athletes.

Size has a lot to do with athleticism...

A WR that's 6'4" that runs a 4.4 is way more imperssive than a WR that's 6' running a 4.3.
