It's also a good sign that two of Poles' IOL pick ups are among are three highest rated Offensive players. I'm surprised Dalman is rated so highly- he seems to have given up a lot of sacks.

I'm generally against trading picks for players midseason, especially when they're looking for a new contract but Will Mcdonald for a 3rd and breece for a 5th would be pretty enticing. It would be even more enticing if they can pull off a baltimore win this weekend.

I get the irony in my statement, but I feel that this could be a mistake lol. Braxton is bad but we don’t have a better swing tackle back up. Unless they offer something significant like a 4th or 5th but i doubt it lol

1st in sacks allowed
1st in take-aways

Basically sums it up.

FWIW, there are 7 teams that have allowed fewer sacks, so not sure where this data comes from. 4 of those teams have allowed fewer sacks despite playing an additional game.

That said, the Bears are doing well here relative to the past, and the offensive line has been solid.

I'd be interested in knowing if "sacks allowed" are tabulated based on the number of sacks that offensive lineman have allowed rather than total sack numbers. At least a few of the sacks that Caleb has taksn weren't really on the offensive line at all. He just ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage, which count as sacks but are more on ths QB and/or receivers.

Grady Jarrett’s injury has me wondering if the Bears pull the trigger on the D-Line

It's how many times Caleb has been sacked. It isn't distinguishing who the blame for the sack is on (similar to an INT still counts against the QB even if he hits the receiver in the chest and the ball bounces off his hands). There might be some more advanced stats that cover what you are discussing.

Apparently Lamar is still limited in practice, questionable if he plays on Sunday or not.

Tyrod Taylor was named Jets starter for this week, if he's healthy, but he's day to day with a bad knee, so Fields may get another chance.

A fair number of QB's dinged up- Lamar, Tyrod, Bryce Young, Purdy, Daniels will miss another game.

His accuracy is bad. His EPA is leading the bottom third of the league. I don’t know if holding the ball is key, but it might be key for him. How much he can get better is anybody’s guess. I don’t think he reads the defense well enough to say getting the ball out faster would help, because he looks even less accurate when he tries to be quick. The Bears offense is surviving more or less without him being the reason why they score, and on turnovers. They have to be a team that can win with him. Perhaps not because of him.

Will McDonald would get a 2nd. A 3rd is nuts.
