And Giannis knows that if he asks out, he does NOT want his wife and kids to be living in Milwaukee and subjected to a small handful of angry fans and angry sports talk shows going 24/7 on the topic. Getting the wife and kids out to a neutral place ahead of time is a smart move.

nailed it. damn
If the argument that his family is moved to Greece because he doesn't want them to be subject to a angry fans then you must believe a trade is imminent. Cause otherwise that idea falls flat on its face

And still not an answer to the my question of what changed from before this article to cause a fuss cause litterally everything Shams wrote is just regurgitating previous "reports" from him.

We mocked those reports before but not now apparently

Giannis mocked those reports before but now that his family moved now we believe them?

Ill believe Giannis asks out when he does. People are just druving themselves nuts based on no new information but rather because the same nothing got thrown into their faces enough times

there is NOTHING about previous reports or what we now know to be the most recent facts that has any bearing whatsoever to the current state of his mindset.

absolute best case at this point is we come roaring out of the gates with a bunch of minimum contract dudes, completely tapped payroll structure and this total reset mentality under doc and maybe buy a new mentality for the ENTIRE PLANET and how they view this **** we got going on.

worst case we bang around like any other team while hes playing wait and see being just another lockerrom ready to expode and hes texting his agent and wife back in greece how the **** he gets out of this situation without tarnishing his legacy for being captain obvious about how much of a waste of his time this seems to be all of a sudden.

even before dame went down, and we mortgaged all hell for this season....the obvious transition was an agreed upon trade that benefitted both parties. the homer versions of us look up 5 man rotation horse **** while the rest of the planet looks at literally who the **** is on each squad.

this is on its last leg man. this is when Bogut went awol to australia for personal reasons level of being the end man.

i say we start the season with as much optimism as possible but if he keeps this duplicity up we deal him asap for as best a decent dude and picks we can. this isnt like all the other "reports" man. but we can still have a fun team. that i believe.

but this thing about the entire family pulling the plug on wisconsin with giannis just trying to figure out what comes next and a casual lets see what we got thing without being a dick about it.....thats new entirely. we havent seen ANYTHING like this before

In fairness he's still got his place here. And his mother is coming back from Greece to live here with Thanasis this season. So he hasn't pulled up all stakes yet.

But, he did feel that it wasn't important for his wife and his children to be near him in Milwaukee this season. That's a huge move and one where he's emotionally letting got a a huge anchor to Milwaukee. No more ringing the bell during the season.

This is all a normal human part of emotionally disengaging or preparing to disengage.

Our only hope is Myles kicks ass and those no name guards (KPJ, Dairy, Rollins and even Cole Anthony) can somehow step up and form an effective unit.

Same stuff Giannis was saying before he signed his last extension.

two things....

his family didnt just decide to ALL dip milwaukee
and
kyle kuzma wasnt our third highest paid player and part of his "big 3"

this team is the last hoorah man. when this thing fails hes out....thats the end. we have a fun squad but we aint "that squad". if we hit the skids we need to use him to go get a lesser bucket getter and some picks and just make this the end instead of being all neurotic about it

Did anyone ever expect it not to be? We don't have future assets until after Giannis' prime. Is anything different than a week ago?

He doesn't owe anybody any answers on his future until this time next year. It really is this simple. If he's visibly loafing out there in mid-December with this team hovering around .500 and then asks for a trade? Then fine, he deserves **** for putting everyone through the ringer when he had all the time in the world to make up his mind this offseason. Would still be dumb not to wait until next offseason though.

Again, has this story been confirmed? Have they really moved to Greece? No one has been able to confirm that.

It would be odd for Giannis to do all this legacy talk during the offseason and then decide he wants to go somewhere else.

Let me tell ya dude, your legacy will take a big hit. You’re no longer Kobe, Duncan, Dirk, etc.

Sounds to me like it’s clear Giannis will give his all for this rag tag Bucks team this season, and then he’ll evaluate his options next summer.

Not really a surprise.

Let’s hope we overachieve and Horst is able to pull off some good deals at the deadline or next summer.

He wants to win. Ok. Grass is always greener. He can be traded to a team that would have to gut their current team to get him. Maybe that puts him closer to a ring. Probably not. In the playoffs the 4 years since the championship we've had Middleton injured, Giannis injured, Giannis injured, Dame injured. Injuries happen but that's brutal. He can be frustrated about not getting another ring but his injuries have been a key factor.

I'll just be glad when the season starts in two weeks.

yeah if thats his plan to "take it day by day" for "the next 6-7 months" and then he can "make a decision"....then by christmas it could be over. thats not a plan man. thats some bogus worst leader ever **** is what it actually is. back in the day if i had a teammate make a comment like that i would have pushed his teeth back and told him gtfo

What is "being the way he is now"? And with the aprons and roster limits, you're never getting the best offers mid-season, ever. That seems obvious and it's why anyone who actually wants to trade him before 12-months from now, or before he asks for it, is still crazy.

We're in a different world. The last extension we had just acquired Dame and Middleton we assumed would get back to form. And the glue that always held this together was the entire family living in the Giannis compound here.

After all yesterday's news and the rebuke of the Wes Edens statement I think our time is short here unless the team gets out of the gate fast.

how hes being? lets see the guy moved his family away and saying in his most recent interview hes gonna take it day by day?

you with a woman and mother of your chiuldren and she closes the joint account and says lets just go day to day.

yeah..... right.

bring her home flowers and take out the garbage but that aint gonna matter. that mess is....OVER. shes just planning the exit with an attorney/agent youre about to meet on their timetables. were powerless to save it at this point unless AJ turns into Klay and KPJ is the next steph. at this point i dont even trust giannis to buy in beyond stat getting which even before this year had become his norm

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
