I don’t get how you can look at this roster and expect someone to come in and perform a magic trick and lead us to a .500 or better record. We just went 20-37 from 3 and lost. I think the expectations of this team are too high. We’ve got a lot of talent but without a true center and much better 3 and D guys. It’s hard to compete in the new NBA

Between the two lineups fielded tonight...the more talented team went home with an L.

Am I the only one that doesn't mind playing Cody martin and green 20 plus minutes a night? Who else is going to play defense?

Our starting line up combined for 14 turnovers tonight. Again the talent is there but the culture is not. Everyone needs to calm down and give Lee some time

It's almost like some of you box score watch and don't watch the actual damn games. Martin and Green deserve all their minutes and then some. Yeah sometimes they'll shoot a 3 into the upper deck or break the backboard with a layup but their impact goes beyond that.

Don’t have an issue with it but they feel almost too similar. We could really use a bigger 3 and D guy

With even mediocre centers, this is a playoff team. 6-seed. (From King Negative!) :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

With the lineup it has now, even with no major player inside, it's better than 5-9. Some guys underachieve on different nights, but that's also indicative of poor coaching decisions.

It feels like the same last five, six, seven, eight years of chronic underachieving. Now, you have talent to win 48 games with a good center, still the talent to at least go 38-44 and get in the Play-In, and you get sonned into another 24-to-28-win dumpster fire amid a litany of close, "well it was good for the tank, that draft pick we keep will look good in Greensboro" losses.

Last point to make:

This is LaMelo Ball's fifth season in the NBA. It's also the fifth time this board has talked itself into extending the tank one more year to get one more lottery piece. That next lottery piece is sure to make the difference.

And when it adds just a little spice to another 82-game round of chronic underachieving, that next lottery piece, the one in LaMelo's seventh year -- that'll be the one to get on track. Or, maybe, the ingredients are there (other than a center, but none of those were available at 6).

I'd like you to answer this for me: Most of what I say, in some way, shape or form, is similar to other posts in these threads. So with that being the case, what is it about me that makes me so special that I get these sorts of responses? We've got our man talking about the alcohol influencing his posts, but I'm the one getting the questions about being okay. Are we just projecting now?

We have LaMelo.. We have Brandon Miller... and we need one more piece to beat the nets who have nobody....?

Maybe we need a coach that knows something about x's and o's if we can't beat the nets...

How many top draft picks should we need to beat a team that doesn't have any...?

Brother this is the most competitive we have been in years. I think this is why all of us mostly me are pissed. We are actually in games instead of being down by 20 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd. I do think we are one depth piece away and a center away, though from being something serious.

Yeah im not getting the Lee slander. These games are competitive we just aren't winning some of them.

We still have no starting center, people are forgetting that. Sure we have Melo/Miller but they need help.

Who is the Nets starting center? BS? Grant Williams or Miles Bridges should be plenty at center to get his win.

Because you only show up after losses half the time. It's weird behavior. Like you get off of negativity and people being down. Isn't a projection it's just facts lol. I like you as a poster but I can't remember the last time you posted anything positive. It's like you wait to pounce and then go all in on here. If it makes you feel better cool, but whatever.

Well, let's clarify two things in here:

1) there are typically more losses than wins, so that's easy.
2) Last time I posted something positive? Probably the second-most recent time I checked in: viewtopic.php?p=115342726#p115342726

Sorry I don't have the time to come in here every day? I mean, I'm 101% certain no one on this forum would want that. The only things I'd posted since then were tongue-in-cheek Mark Williams jokes and, oh wait! This! viewtopic.php?p=115450438#p115450438

Do you have this expectation of everyone else? I'm also still waiting for you to engage with GoBobs about his negativity, or with MasterIchiro and his negativity/obsession over Clingan. However, I notice that when others go off on tangents about what they believe, it's crickets...

To be honest if I've singled anyone out the last year it's justbuzzin. Also said he was my poster of the year. Still gets on my nerves at times. But I keep it real.

I have a lot of responsibilities that keep me away from here more often (you're welcome) and in a boring seven-point loss, or a 20-point win that occurs when I'm away, this place just isn't a priority. When there's a one-point win at the buzzer or a one-point loss I can watch, that's different.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
