After each game we will vote for the Hammer of the Game Awards (Hornets players only). The voting will be open for 24 hours after the end of each game. Fans from the opposing teams are encouraged to vote, just remember the vote is for the best Hornets.
Points
Gold Hammer (3) = best player of the game
Silver Hammer (2) = second best player of the game
Bronze Hammer (1) = third best player of the game
Player with the most points gets a gold hammer, player with the second most points get a silver hammer and the player with the third most points gets a bronze hammer. In the event of a tie, both players will be awarded the higher hammer for win and the lower hammer for losses. If two players tie for a bronze in a loss, only the gold and silver will be awarded (I just cant justify 4 hammers for a loss).
Gold Hammer = 3pts
Silver Hammer = 2pts
Bronze Hammer = 1pt
- Votes must be clear and follow the points listed above with 3 being the best (and so forth)
- Votes must have a best, second best and third best. If you do not list 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list more than 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list a tie, your vote will not count. Votes for anything other than our players will not count. Obvious joke votes will not count.

We've been having some really sparse participation in Hammer voting lately. I realize everyone is apathetic about this team currently, but Hammer voting is a board tradition. We had much better participation in Hammer voting even back when we were terrible.

I feel bad that you have to say that. Will pick up my effort.

Bump
Final results below. Fair to say Cody didn't get a fair shake in the hammer voting this season, even though he missed that chunk of games. He was probably our 2nd most valuable player, yet he finished below Marco, Frank and Lamb in hammer voting.
Kemba Walker 32g,12s,10b =130
Nic Batum 10g18s,8b = 74
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: 8g,13s,8b = 58
Marvin Williams: 8g,8s,12b =52
Marco Belineli: 5g,10s,7b = 42
Frank Kaminsky: 6g,6s,8b = 38
Jeremy Lamb: 6g,4s,11b = 37
Cody Zeller: 4g,3s,15b =33
Spencer Hawes: 1g,2s,1b = 8
Roy Hibbert: 2g,1s,0b = 8
Briante Weber: 0g,0s,2b = 2
Treveon Graham 0g.1s,0b = 2
Brian Roberts 0g,1s,0b= 2

Re: The "Hammer" of Game Awards 2016/17 Cumulative Results
The fact that Batum finished second and MKG is third just shows how blah this season was. Neither one of them deserve to be placed that high, yet you can easily imagine how certain single game performances (or just the fact that they were less worse than other players) got them such a ranking.
