I'd easily take the individual talent over a combo of guys not even close to him talent wise. Tucker's very overrated as far as his impact. I like Capela, but if it means getting a younger, more offensively talented center, whose got just as much defensive chops, then I will take Ayton. Clint's a better rebounder, but that's mostly due to him always just crashing the boards.
Yes, he's real talent, but I'm not sure he's the kind of talent absolutely needed to win a championship.
GSW and BOS have just shown that playing the C with one guy that can shoot 3s and another one that is athletic and faster than real big C might be a better thing.
At least, they both played with a guy that can shot 3s, so if we replace one of Okongwu and Capela, it would just make more sense to me to do it for a guy that can shoot 3s
I'm also afraid that Ayton here would ask for a ll more shots than with PHX, and that it would be a two men game with him and Trae, and that Hunter would even not be tried as a second option at any moment, and that it will be a problem once in playoffs.
I'm sorry, I don't feel it. It would require more wing defense than now, because once in the paint, scorers will more easily attack the basket with Ayton instead of Capela.
With have the second best offense, with Ayton, we might be 1st. But defense will go from 26th to what?
