I believe it can. I’ve seen a lot trade scenarios going by the cba rules working

they're gonna want a center back and the double sign and trade is close to impossible. and the few teams with cap room are not gonna max him. i think he might end up in atl too. they got guys they want/could trade in collins, capela that could work for the suns.

Atl could make sense, with Capela to the Suns if they can make it work

Randle isn't making the max like Ayton is demanding.

there would have to be a ton of other moving parts and additional salary that the knicks would have to open up and the suns would have to send us.
A straight up Randle/Ayton S&T wouldn't work. Just like a Randle/Brunson S&T wouldn't work because Brunson/Ayton base would get to Randles level. Fournier would fit in that scenario.
But yes technically it can still happen if we clear enough room to take on Crowder + Saric or something like that.

He’s making a lot though plus has a trade kicker. I would love if Phoenix takes him but dont think they would.

Phoenix is going to do whatever they can to win before the window closes on them with Paul's retirement and Booker leaving. They have 2 chances left.

They can still use a PF. Like they said, they can sign multiple Centers that can do what Ayton does
