How? Rose carried us to the playoffs and look at his numbers off the bench he’s been as productive as Brunson as a starter

Rose averaged 12ppg and missed 56 games, this season.

Brunson averaged 17.5ppg 5.0apg 4.2rpg on 50% FG 39% 3pt in 61 starts this season, that was on a miniscule 21.9 usage rate and 71.6 touches per game.


Just for comparisons sake, Alec Burk's averaged 70.4 touches and a 17.2 usage rate as a starter. If you just replaced Burks with Brunson and didn't even up his usage or touches, he should be right around his 17.5ppg numbers, but he should see a bump in those touches and usage numbers, which should make him a 20ppg scorer on solid efficiency. Keep in mind, his efficiency didn't go down much in the playoffs even though his isolation frequency increased, assisted shots percentage dropped and his usage rate went up

What I'm implying is -- is the knicks really committing that amount of money now to 2 centers (as if all that is necessary)...I already know bird right holders get to be signed last priority only after when prospect FAs are signed

Per 36 they put up almost identical numbers. Last year Rose off the bench put up even better numbers than Brunson as a starter. He’s officially overpaid and now he’s reaching overrated territory.

Anfernee Simons is younger and more talented and already better and he was cheaper oof Brunson deal looking real bad right now

The hartenstein deal sounds like MLE money as you only have that if you are operating over the cap.
