... that said, my dude was on an egotistical warpath between the years of 2003-2009. Demanding trades, getting people fired, nearly shot 30(!) times a game for an entire season. I have no problem with that, it was his prerogative and he earned the right to be a diva. But he wasn't this selfless saint (at least publicly) that Jeanie makes it seem.
Kobe was, in fact, a monster during his prime. I think Jeanie is, like all of us, willing to tolerate it when its "your monster." The Lakers sanctioned and allowed every egotistical step Kobe took where as LBJ is an outsider who came in with his own preexisting issues that the franchise gets to discover anew. Also, any hurt feelings with Kobe have eroded and everything is viewed with rose colored glasses given time, retirement and his untimely passing.
