Weill you did make it up because your reasoning is a hypothetical where we traded the Mavs pick with the seconds to Charlotte to get #13. Let’s say I agree they’d have accepted that deal since they took a similar pick from Denver
So if we want to be completely fair in your scenario we have 11 and 13. And 4 fewer future firsts (the Mavs pick you traded, the two other picks from OKC we retained+the bucks pick we got from Detroit). And no Brunson and Kemba likely still rotting here?
No, Kemba is not still rotting here. Waive him and let it come off the books next season OR If you want to do the DET deal, then do it with either Duarte or someone we picked at 11. I think it's stupid to give up a lottery for an expiring but Knicks! We'd still have one of the selections to play or use this offseason.

S&T with Dallas using one of our MANY assets. This way we get Brunson and still have a ton of capspace to use elsewhere. You try this route first. If Dallas doesn't want a 1st for Brunson, then you use the pick(s) to free up space, butgiven the amount of movement we will see given the Ayton/Durant/Kyrie situations, we could have parlayed some good things as a 3rd partner as well.
