Bam somewhere else in a 3 team would definitely be a potential game changer for Miami but I question how much KD 'wants' Miami if it's basically just Butler and Lowry. I guess we pray Riley is lurking with something like that up his sleeve?
That and I can see a massive trade, where it's KD, Kyrie, and maybe Harris and/or even Claxton, for Herro and every pick not tied down from Miami, picks from somewhere like OKC and a serviceable vet center, for Bam, and Duncan Robinson this way.
the kyrie point is a good one, i expect Riley has 0 interest in him individually but i could 100% see him being willing to take him on as a creative route to getting KD. it would be very complicated cap wise though because it would probably require the nets eating a bunch of salary they don't want (including Lowry). KD/Jimmy/Kyrie would be hilarious and amazing all at once. here's an example of a deal that could work, Utah would basically have to give up all the draft capital they just got for Gobert, which seems counter productive but at the same time not sure what other team could step into their spot in this deal. Toronto or Portland maybe if they think Bam is the missing piece?
but for all the negatives Herro/Strus and like 8-10 FRPs would be a pretty good haul.
I would do this strictly because I don't believe for a second that KD still wants to play with Kyrie. He's seen how unreliable and chaotic Kyrie is up close. I would love to send him to a team where he has to keep babysitting him.
Also the chaos that Riley/Spo/Haslem + Kyrie + Butler would bring would be incredible to watch.
