Thanks. So why didn't you guys resign him? Are you up against the cap?
"You guys?" I take it you think I'm a Clipper fan. I am not. Haha. I mean, I love the entire NBA. And I'm intrigued with the Clippers if they can stay healthy. I was just posting about Hartenstein because I love that he's gonna get a chance to show what he can do this year.
What makes you think he'll get more than 17-20 mpg here, basically what the Clippers played him when they played him a bit more?
Or is that your definition of getting a chance to show what he's got?
Not being a wiseass. I like the signing and have learned he might have the chance to be special, or at least a high quality backup.
On the one hand, he should get decent minutes because Thibs gave decent minutes to Noel, who he replaces (when Noel was healthy). On the other hand, if Mitchell Robinson is going to get paid around 15 million a year, so have to figure that means around 28 mpg, at least.
Personally, I hope the Knicks play Mitchell 27, Hartenstein 16 and Randle 5 minutes at center.
And I'd like Hartenstein to play 20 minutes, but Knicks really need to put Randle at the 5 some to open minutes for Obi.
Plus, the take foul rule means Knicks should have Obi the floor more and if with Randle that means 5 players who can grab the ball and start pushing the break.
I think Hartenstein can do this as well, though.
