So there’s no way we actually planned to get Brunson and Mitchell together right. We obviously just got Brunson and are now going after Mitchell since they traded Gobert.

Id feel more comfy if we didnt already get a 6 foot PG for 104 million. Mitchell would immediately make Brunson less useful. He is gonna have the ball less here than he did in Dallas. He just makes no sense with Mitchell, but I actually care about defense so silly me.

Id rather have Mitchell be the quasi PG alongside Grimes.

This is not true. Team basketball. They can complement each other extremely well.

On offense it can work if they really share the ball, although Mitchell can chuck like no other so Im not sure. On defense they’re just too small.

A lower usage, bigger, defensive shooting guard like Grimes makes more sense to me. Have Mitchell defend the PGs. We have other guys who can create a bit so Brunson is redundant to me, but to each their own.

I highly doubt that the deal will fall apart. Dolan wont allow it. He is staying out of it right now, but if the deal is on the verge of collapse, he will force Rose to give in.
