Obviously, I see Paolo as the fulcrum of our team - as a #1 overall should be - and I think he's going to be ROY. I didn't really expect to see RJ, so that only made me lose the unfounded optimism I was developing for him. After drafting PB instead of Jabari, the glaring need for spot up shooters jumped to the forefront...so, re-signing Harris and Bamba made more sense (especially on great deals), drafting Caleb made sense (especially if he can really hit 3's), and watching RJ continue pounding on the "I'm a PG" door instead of trying to show his 3&D capabilities made me sense that he has no concept of where he might fit with this team.
Summer league is over...I'm ready to see Suggs and Fultz hitting 3's in an empty gym, so I can have hope that our backcourt can hang with and complement our exciting frontcourt. I'd still really like to see a trade, just to consolidate a handful of our truly promising "maybes" into another "probably" shooter. We have too many bodies, none are completely hopeless, but we can't develop 12 young guys at once...support the kingpins of this team. Suggs, in particular, is the guy I have my eye on. His rounding out his offensive game can determine our immediate and long-term trajectory. Either he's a big part or we're still missing the big piece where he's sitting.
So, it's "swole" videos, "Look, Isaac can walk now" videos, "20 3's in a row in an empty gym" videos, and trade rumors for me.
you are pleased with both? didnt Houstan play bad except for 1 game?
