knicks aint getting a bargain. sham will always tell you like it is. it aint gonna be cheap.
There's not cheap and there is ridiculous.
I'm ok with the first, hopefully that's where Aller is trying to get it.
I've been stating for a while, and this has been reported, it's about the combination of players and picks. More players in, less picks out. Less players in, more picks out.
Assumed Ainge asked for way too much to start, Aller/Leon counter with some form of too little, and all the haggling has been each side trying to push the trade into their version of over the reasonable middle.
And it's not as if there's a sticking point going on for a few days of a part that opposite but reasonable for both sides.
Like, for the Knicks, it's not wanting to include the 29 pick lightly or not protected and Ainge saying "well, then that costs Obi AND Grimes" (or more), etc

It will be more expensive, not sure why anyone would think it would be equal or less.

If DM has already told Ainge he won't cooperate with a trade to anyone but the Knicks do you really believe another team is going to risk doing a big deal for a player who may be a malcontent? I don't think so. Yes, Ainge will get a good haul, but I feel like everyone is overstating his leverage.

We have 400 draft picks for the first time in decades and the team doesn't care. It's like...WTF? Instead of participating in the draft...we are going to trade for players that we could have drafted after they sign a max deal.
What the fuq ever man. I'm no longer interested in this deal. Do it. Don't do it. I don't give a fat rats ass!
Instead of tanking a few years in the lottery they will take a few years trying to trade for overpriced players? With potential lottery picks. Unprotected. Really?
Here's my offer:
Some Oreos an eight ball and a carton of Newports. Three thousand pages of TS stats and whatever Besart can come up with while he is drunk. Oh...and ducler posting lineups like a bot! I'll sweeten the deal with a dinner date with Kornets mom and front row seats to Robert Randolph opening up for JD and the Straight Shot! Plus whatever we can get for bearadonis and Jimmit.

Either they haven't watched basketball in like 5 years or they're trolling.

Since I've got this bullsh*t memorized now:
Minnesota out:
2023 1st round unprotected
2025 1st round unprotected
2027 1st round unprotected
2029 1st round lightly protected (picks 1-5)
2026 (I think) right to swap
2022 Drafted #22 Kessler (pick equivalent - since he hasn't played)
2020 Drafted #23 Bolmaro (drafted by Knicks btw)
Jarred Vanderbilt, drafted 2018 around 40, JAG player - servicable
Beasley - good player, contract expires after upcoming season, age 25
Beverly - still decent? contract expires after upcoming season, age 34
