For all his swagger he added a knee injury (jumpers knee,) that could be an issue moving forward. He also ball stopped a lot, especially in the fourth quarter of the playoff games. There are more flaws as well, but they don’t matter for my point. Ant might be the next Harden or KD, he might be the next Lebron or Wade, he has a lot of potential and a lot of avenues. But he must stay healthy, continue to improve his game, and contribute to winning instead of making himself look good. None of these things are a given, and we should hold off on talking like they are. Ant might become an MVP, but he might not, and it is far from a forgone conclusion.
These comments and nitpickings are infuriating. You don't think any of those players have ever ball-stopped in the 4th quarter of playoff games? Did it stop them from being great? No, it's part of the NBA game, whether you like it or not...it's like certain people who whine about 3-pointers ruining the game.
i legit laughed at the idea that he doesn't think edwards contributes to winning. just a bizarre statement.
You misunderstood, I meant going forward. He needs to not stat pad on his quest to becoming an all star. The goal was not to criticize prior performance, but to instead point out the pitfalls some guys encounter with goals like his.
