KD's value is dog sh*t. Unless Boston increases their offer to what Marks is looking for, Durant isn't getting traded. Bitch boy better suck it up for the first time in his life instead of running at the first sign of adversity.

Don't blame NO for not doing it

I wouldn't trade Ingram for Durant either. He's a deluded headcase

One thing I learned , during this off-season I appreciate Warriors players and stuff helluva more than I did before , Durant never clicked with Draymond because Dray it’s a man and wasn’t afraid to call Durant by his real name

But you still want him to play on your team right?

No , personally I don’t, I don’t mind if he loose tail end of his prime sitting at home

Yeah, I mean, anyone who thought that Phoenix's package had a chance or Toronto could trade for KD without including Scottie Barnes is clearly delusional.

Boston was the only team that came correct. Why waste someone's time by offering horsesh*t?

Or maybe the Nets are delusional of their asking price? You’d think a player to KD’s level would have teams offering the farm for him. Sadly for Nets fans, that’s not going to happen, imo.

Boston is my guess where he gets traded..Brown, Derrick White and a pick. The question is if KD would be willing to play there. I would not be surprised if KD is telling teams behind scenes that he will not play there. KD will get what he wants, in the end.

Durant is still a top 4 to 8 player. The Nets would be stupid not to start negotiations with a high asking price. Are you kidding me?

I swear to God fans from other teams are the ones who are delusional thinking that the Nets should trade Durant for bench players

MDB but ask yourself real question, I did and my answer was NO

If you’re Celtics fan and to acquire Durant will cost you JB + Brent +pick or picks would you do it ?

Note that your team as constructed reached finals last year , you add two solid vets already , team cohesive is great , young guys still getting better , would you risk all of this for a snake ?

I Don’t and I dislike Celtics a lot

That's how much of your cap he is going to take up every year, obviously if he's sitting out like that the Nets will have to trade em for a bag of chips if they have to because it would be dumb to keep that much of your cap tied up in a player that is not playing.

Kyrie is a 36 Mil cap hit and no matter what he is gone as soon as the season is over at the latest if you guys don't offload him before, that's 80 Mil of your 130 Mil Cap with the hard cap being 162 Mil. It would be bad for the Nets organization, but it would be far worse for you guys as Nets fans. If they stay for the year. You guys got two guys taking up half your cap space that don't want to be there, which to me would make it very hard to root for the games because by extension it would be rooting for those two guys. If they don't you got Ben Simmons the guy that got booed out of Philly, also the same guy that could have at least tried to play a game in the play off to save your season... and he said no.

So in your opinion best for Nets it’s to trade Durant for scrap’s to one of his preferred destinations ?

I’m not Simmons apologist, but if ever had slightest lower back problems you would probably understand that is more that it simply saying no , he got surgery right after season ended , so Simmons it’s an open book for us Nets fans , could be great , could backfire, time will tell

Back to Durant, definitely one thing Nets shouldn’t do it’s to trade him for some role players or weak picks
trade him for at least JB + Brent/ pick package or tell him to either play or stay home

The Nets aren delusional in their asking price. They're not asking for much more than Philly traded for Harden, and KD is a better player locked up for 4 years. The difference is it's August and not days before the trade deadline.

The Nets don't want White. The Nets don't want a role player with guaranteed money in 2024. He's not an asset on that contract. Boston wants to dump him after the Brogdon trade. If the Harden trade is serving as the model, it's Brown+Smart/RWilliams+2 picks. I think it winds up Brown+GWilliams+Pritchard+3-3.5 picks+swaps.

Don't get me wrong I don't come by to flame or troll. And honestly the Nets are in caught between a rock and a hard place. Def would not want to be going through it. There really isn't a winning situation unless Boston really gives you JB, and from what's going around the Celtics are supremely pissed with your FO for airing out the package that was not agreed to and not inclined to do the trade anymore. We all know WOJ, and ESPN is not going to report that (if true, because as fan's we really don't know what the actual truth is until something happens, but WOJ has already been caught red handed sitting on info and blocking others from ESPN from mentioning stuff).

So if that is to be true, and there is no JB trade, No ingram trade. There really isn't anyone out there. Maybe one materializes during the season. But by that point your season is possibly quite over before it even starts. I also could be talking out of my arse and you guys get JB tomorrow. I guess we'll find out sometime this year.

I just want this to be over with so we can all move on. Personally, I'd rather wait for the JB contract to expire to go snatch him up for free than to gut the roster for 35 year old KD. I even prefer JB over Mitchell even though Mitchell is more likely to end up in the Heat because of his strong ties to Bam.

Def not bench players but you're also not going to get a needle moving superstar, alongside up and coming young talent with multiple picks. Both extremes are totally delusional.

I probably wouldn't be mad if we sent KD to New Orleans for McCollum, Dyson Daniels, Herbert Jones and a ton of picks, tbh.

They have so many picks and swaps to send, we'd almost certainly hit high lotto on a couple eventually.

McCollum is a great fit with Simmons as long as Kyrie is dealt in a separate follow-up deal.

Daniels has a lot of potential himself, and Jones does too, to a lesser extent.

Would surely prefer Ingram though, obviously.

Picks are attractive, but I'm not sure Tsai would bite. He still needs a star to sell Nets merchandise and attract season ticket holders.

Tsai is not REBUILDING, this is not the Nets of old; Nets will ONLY obtain picks in two instances, if there are superstar player caliber players in the draft(ala Simmons) or to trade for a superstar down the road. There is a reason the Nets want Booker, Brown, Tatum, etc..... in any trade for KD. Nets are your new Lakers, star chasers but Marks will attain the necessary assets to get them here. NJ Nets are no more.

I live in Miami. I get it. Miami wants Durant badly. But, Miami just doesn't have enough to make a deal for KD. Kyrie (maybe)....

You have to understand how our ownership and front office operates. If this were a one year expiring deal we would rush for a 70 cents on a dollar deal. But, the Nets currently have the best player in the NBA on a 4 year contract! The team owns his rights legally. He cannot expect to sit out and get paid. This is a monumental time in NBA history as the next CBA will have this exact situation with high penalties for a player. KD does not want to sit out. He might not sit out.

But, our ownership does not care if he does. They are doing this to make a point. I honestly do not even know if a team had a great deal for KD if they would accept it because he is THAT VALUABLE.

I think they come to terms shortly and maybe Nash gets replaced in a few weeks before training camp starts. If not, a team will wake up shortly after the season starts and bring in KD to win them or compete for a title. There are so many teams that could use KD. There aren't as many that need the role/lower level players currently being offered.

What did Harrington do besides collect a paycheck because he's cool with Kevin Durant?

serious question. I have no clue what he was even contributing to the team.

KD likes him. It's an inconsequential amount for a do nothing role that makes KD happy. Firing him really did make no sense as im sure everyone knew he was close to KD
