I don’t agree with that really at all. Sure, his price may be low but you also risk rocking the boat and ruining any team dynamic that that team may have with kyrie’s unpredictability in terms of contenders trading for him.
Holy hell, completely missing the context which I layed in more than a little detail.
Gonna just assume reading comprehension is not your friend.Kawhi is a top 5 player and he had a full training camp and season with a team to build cohesion and chemistry etc. kyrie is not the guy to just throw into the locker room and it’s all peace and love. Not to mention if he does come back and play his ass off and realizes there’s a market developing for him he could demand a trade at any time and has all the leverage in the last year of his deal.
Spectacularly missing the point yet again. Assuming 'every last gamble must look like the Kawhi situation' in order to make a relevant point, completely whiffing on the fact that it was one example in a ripe field of others.
Go home, "MagicBagley18,"
you're completely lacking in history, context, detail and currency.
Amazingly for a month I’ve gone back and forth with nets fans here and it’s been cordial the entire time but it seems there always one **** and in this case a giant one- perhaps that’s why gigante is in your handle so perhaps you were warning everyone and I should have known better. Ask yourself why there’s no market or interested teams for kyrie? Do you think it’s because he’s not talented? Or do you think maybe it’s because of his questionable locker room and team history? You think teams are going to believe he changed because of a good start and good behavior in a contract year?
And No not every scenario has to end up like the kawhi one but it’s the example you used. kyrie and kawhi are 2 totally different risks. Kawhi was a flight risk because he could be a rental but he never was a malcontent in the locker room and in the organization. Kyrie is a huge risk from a chemistry standpoint and has a track record of being moody, not engaged and being difficult and unlike kawhi is not a player who has shown he can elevate a team himself with just his presence to championship status.
Your comparisons are off. Even if kyrie plays his ass off teams are going to extremely reluctant to trade for him- even contenders, just because of his history. Add in the fact of his contract status and now it’s really a risk. Of course this disregards the fact that IF a team decides to trade for him he can just say “I’m a rental and I will leave you” which means your return from those teams will be absolute **** and you’ll be limited to a select group of teams that think it’s worth the risk to begin with.
So no I’m not going anywhere I’ll enjoy my back and forth with people here who actually know what they are talking about and make sense. Go home? my feet up on your couch. Talk about lacking history and context pot meet kettle.
