We played a lot Mitchell at pg, not being a pg... Some other are asking to play Vandervilt as C... and he is not either... at least is a 7 Footer.
That may be, but putting Sexton at PG will see the other team-members revolt and go for their pitchforks, while playing Markkanen at C will see him with a season ending injury very soon. I would understand those to be used as tank-moves (especially Sexton is an amazing tank-commander), but they make zero sense because of the ripple effects on the organisation.
I agree on Markkanen. Definitely not a center, even by new NBA standards.
Sexton, well... I think the Jazz learned their lesson about 6'1" shooting guards (unless they find a big PG at some point). He needs to learn to play "point" better, or he'll be a Clarkson-like 6th man in the future. But for now, assuming Conley is moved or the team wants Mike to come off the bench, he's gotta be PG#1, IMO.
Side note: Assuming the Jazz can't get good value back for him, I would like to see Conley stay as a bench player and veteran mentor. He is well known for being an amazing teammate, and I think he'd be very valuable showing the young bucks how to be a true professional. He may like going to a title contender better, but I think he'd embrace the role with the Jazz. The Jazz need to spend money somewhere (salary floor), so why not on a vet who can help with culture & be like another coach?
