Come tell me about how Scottie's not going to be a #1 when he's playing in his 4th or 5th season and averaging 19 ppg and shooting 33% from 3. The kid is 21 years old. Here's the list of guys drafted in the last 20 years who were clear cut superstar number 1 options by the age of 21: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, that's it. If you wanna debate about a couple of other guys, whatever, the point is that almost nobody including most of the best players in the league (Jokic, Giannis, Kawhi, Steph, Harden) were bonafide #1 options at 21.
This isn't directed at any poster here, but people need to stop with the Kawhi comparisons, it's annoying as hell. I had to listen to Amit Mann talk about and get excited over how Scottie scratched his own chin the same way Kawhi did. This obsession that some people still have with Kawhi is weird, he played here for a year and we won, get over it and stop trying to find the next Kawhi.
I don't want an inferior imitation of Kawhi, I want a dope original version of Scottie Barnes, whatever that might end up looking like. I think Scottie can be a #1 option in his own way, but I don't expect him to be that cyborg we call Kawhi Leonard.
