With KAT and DLo in the game this year, the ball has found Ant way less.
I’m sure he’s rather play with guys who are more likely to defer to him.
Basketball reference has Ant shooting one more shot than last years average per game. He is also playing with the second unit more (the small ball 5,) and therefore getting a chance to be the primary scorer. What makes you think he isn’t getting his touches? Is it eye test?
Wtf does Ant averaging 1 more shot per game have to do with what I said?
He’s getting those extra shots with KAT and DLo out of the game. I never said he wasn’t getting X amount of shots. I said he prefers to play with guys that will defer to him as the #1 option.
Ant should be treated like Luka and Kyrie (when they came into the league). He should always be the primary option on offense. KAT has never been anywhere but the lottery, except when the team had Jimmy and then Ant. 2 guards who score 20+ ppg and create their own shot. He can’t create, he can’t get past his man, he can’t defend, and good luck with passing out of a double team.
He’s just not that good overall as a basketball player. He’s all nba because there just aren’t that many good big men anymore. Joel, Giannis, Joker and then …….Meh. All he has to his credit is he can shoot. There’s more to the game than shooting. Well, I guess, he’s pretty good at fouling and giving up shots too. He’s got that going for him.
