And even if you don't get the #1 pick, Henderson is a good consolation prize, so we still need a high pick. Fact of the matter is that we don't have upper echelon talent and without it we're not going to get better results than what we have been getting with the previous incarnation of the Jazz. Yes, tanking sucks, but we need to bite the bullet or we're just going to stay in that 2nd round ceiling area for the next decade and this whole rebuild will have been for nothing and we might as well kept both Mitchell and Gobert if that's good enough for us.
Injury conserns aren't ever good thing.
But if Wembanyama hasn't got similar injury history what Michael Porter Jr had his draft year ( 2018 )
VW should be fine even if there is little risk / little risks.
Todays NBA bigs are totally different than 1990's NBA bigs and no-one in todays NBA isn't built like Shaq O'Neal was.
Players who even remind and look like Shaq are too slow todays NBA game.
What comes Lauri i can see Jazz keeping him some time especially if there isn't trade available for him.
But who even knows is Lauri ready to stay in Utah lets say 2-3 yrs.
Lauri's prime years are starting now so he has for sure his goals
so is there any fit which should satisfy both ( Jazz and Lauri ) in the horizon that's the question.
