But Banchero’s 3pt shooting is a bit concerning. He’s got good foundation to be a good shooter IMO. But if that shot dont translate, what’s that like? A 6’10 Julius Randle?
Reading at twitter now, seems like people are now concerned with Zion’s 22ppg and low TS%. He could be that guy 2-3 years down the road, without a good 3pt shot.
But boy.. if he develops that 3pt shot he’d be an MVP candidate at some point
Yeah, if Banchero doesn't develop into a good shooter, I see him maxing out as Knicks-era Randle.
Banchero and Mathurin are well ahead of the class in points, but I don't think they've been the best rookies.
I think Tari Eason has been by far the most impactful rookie so far. He's been among the best defenders in the NBA already and his shooting splits are off the charts. Pure idiocy that he isn't playing 30+ mpg for the Rockets.
And in terms of guys playing 20+ mpg roles, your guy Keegan Murray has been most impressive to me. I think he's already establishing good shooting and good shot contesting on defense. He's been a strong two-way contributor for the Kings. The glaring hole is the lack of playmaking.
