Durant just wants to be great he doesn't want to lead

I’d also trade him IMO. He’s a big liability on the defensive end and he is not good against big teams with size. And the trend now is teams are adding size. Dejounte Also seems to be playing well

You don't see it in the stats but one major thing I've noticed is he isn't really competing on defense anymore. I'd be real hesitant to give up Maxey for him considering he is already 34. We already have Harden who is 33. Not to mention both are injury prone along with Embiid.
Maxey is sort of the spark plug who is the only guy who can push our transition offense.
You are overthinking it, it’s KD. He’s literally unguardable and can score 30 with no system.
Look we all rate Maxey but he’s not in my eyes a championship starter. Great sixth man in the regular season sure. But the real thing is way different. He’s 100% a defensive liability with no size that’s not good for team weaknesses which we have plenty of.
KD is legit or looks like 7ft so length alone will hold it in good stead.
The injury-prone nature is always going to be there with Harden/Embiid so no use worrying about it. Love/Gallo/Hayward would be excellent here as they fit perfectly alongside Embiid and not Tobias but that is a whole different kettle of fish.
I mean when I look at this offense one of the main concerns I have is the lack of pace and transition opportunities and that is with Maxey and him being really our only weapon in transition.
I'd actually like for us to find someone more athletic than Tucker and move him to the bench. One guy that kind of interests me is Obi he is super athletic and can run the floor his 3Pt shooting has gotten better yet he has struggled to find consistent minutes. That's not to say I wouldn't make the Durant trade because at the end of the day I would but we would be one of the slowest teams in the league and honestly, I wouldn't be shocked to see one of the younger teams run them off the court in the playoffs.

But that path was unavoidable when we screwed up the 2016, 2017 and 2018 drafts three years in a row. Harden is a miracle heave in an attempt to overcome that.

There were smarter moves that could have been made.

Should just let the scrubs battle with them. Rest Embiids ankle.

Both you guys have a point just seems this organization has been grasping at straws for years now. Trying to clean up mess after mess and mistake after mistake..
