> (Tin-Foil Hat) Aside from the lack of Big-Man depth, the biggest challenge still remains: Finding the right formula of Dame and Simons, that will lead to overall team success. Fact is, this has been impossible for Chauncey to achieve with Dame being unable to perform. To this point, Watching last night's side show with Dame made me very uneasy. Reggie Miller and Haynes did a masterful job of empowering Dame. Question for all of you... What if Dame decides to reject Chauncey's new way of doing things, and like a virus, tries to get it out of HIS' system? I worry I may have just seen it in this game. Wouldn't be the craziest thing ever in my time watching the NBA, to see a franchise player rebel against change, after trying to (hypothetically) adapt his game to the new style, but feeling the old way(STOTTS) suited him better. Next question... Might that result in a face-off of sorts, and ultimately a power grab by Dame? Might we see this happen in the very near future, because I think it's a very real possibility that I believe Cronin likely would has a contingency for. I could see Dame play a the very dangerous game that he very much thinks he will win, but end up losing if Jody and Cronin see things Chauncey's way in a game of chicken, should Dame decide to go there, ala It's Me or Him. Crazy, I don't think so at all, as we gear up for a show down with Lebron's(LeGMs) Lakers. Dame is an obvious student of King James, and an imitator of his massive media branding outside of actual hoopin' it up. But Dame's no Lebron, and backfire to a power grab is easily foreseeable to me, and I as a "BLAZER" fan, actually hope it happens.
