Needed 3 assists and 6 boards from Hart tonight for my parlay and he exits halfway through the first with 3 rebounds and 2 assists...

Simons hero ball into several defenders, blowing the game in the clutch. So tired of this. I blame Billups not getting into him telling him to make plays for his team.

Winslow also gets some blame here as a playmaker, taking a bunch of shots instead of finding his team last 5 minutes. Only 2 assists for the game.

We were winning when we were finding the open man and passing the ball, then Billups let this team go into iso, hero ball BS.

Clips have no one playing and we still lose. It's crazy how bad we have been without Dame

Tough loss here, had a nice lead going into the 4th then the offense can't score for ****.

The Blazers tried to match the Clippers small ball instead of continuing what was working with either Nurkic or Eubanks on the floor. We don't have the rebounding besides Hart to make small ball work for an extended period of time.

Billups 4th qtr coaching has lost several winnable games. Can't really blame the team, everyone played their best game. Just bad bad coaching, again later in the game. Makes me wonder how good this roster would've been with stotts.. He always made the best of what he had, now we finally have a good roster but we're stuck with a bad coach.

The blazers have fallen to 22nd in defensive rating btw.

This loss is on Chauncey. Terrible job coaching in the 4th. Terrible game management. Keeping Ant in w/o resting him…not spelling Grant for a minute or two after he picks up his 5th.

AND he has to be the worst coach in the league at challenging a call…just terrible.

Also the refs were very poor tonight and that’s being polite. In general the reffing this year has degraded.

Frankly we've been spoiled by Dame time and never really having to figure out how to close out games because he is so individually good in those moments.

We definitely shot ourselves in the foot on this one and let the Clips right back into the game.

That was a pathetic 4th quarter. Going small was a terrible decision. Watford just isnt doing anything out there. Winslow had a horrid stretch in the 4th where he took like 3-4 shots in a really short period. Ant was on fire offensively but was absolutely torched by Norm.

We should be better than this even w/o Dame. Losing to LAC w/o Kawai, PG13, Wall, Kennard - w/ Morris unable to hit the broad side of a barn, Ivica playing poor, etc. At home. Just embarrassing.

Nic's size really seems to have bothered Ant but Nic has been frustrating his opposition for years

Wow... just wow. So much to unpack from this game. Mostly all very good points made with the previous comments, but I think if one looks really hard at this "performance", as shown to us by the great Reggie Miller, you will see things are starting to get hot, 1/4 way in. Major, but vague bullet points:

> Coaching hasn't been great, but I think Chauncey is most concerned early on with teaching, evaluating and experimenting heavily. What is making his job difficult and nearly impossible, is the lack of good health and dependability amongst our guards. This is the elephant in the room IMO, and most everything ugly that we are seeing from this current team, stems from having only Simons and Winslow(our 5th best) to handle all of the PG/Ball Handling duties for 48 minutes. Opposing teams can see this weakness we have and expose it. This IMO is what we are seeing, despite the great efforts and performance of Simons and Winslow. Playing up-tempo and/or going small is very difficult to do when you have no feakin' guards.

> The 2nd really big deal IMO is still lack of roster balance, which ties into the previous. Nurkic is being asked to play huge minutes, while being forced into great physical shape, which he needed to be in 21 games ago. Eubanks, it looks to me, is trying to play injured. He's not saying it verbally, but his play on the floor reeks of it. Overall, as I've been saying for weeks... We will continue to lose very winnable games until we get another quality starting level Big-Man, and I still firmly believe we can steal M.Williams from the Hornets(who's destroying the G-league), if we just overpay a "Little". There's also the real chance that Nurkic doesn't get into better shape by playing big minutes, and his body(or part of it) just quits on him.

> Watford is not the answer: Seeing him on the floor looking confused as all hell, with Hart and Winslow also on the court, equaled UGLY BB. We need to make a move NOW! That is if, and I will repeat IF, we are trying to win this year. I can easily imagine at least a few of those Vulcans up there lobbying for the Tank, which IS still a pathway forward for Cronin, which I'm sure he has left available to himself, maybe as a last resort.

> (Tin-Foil Hat) Aside from the lack of Big-Man depth, the biggest challenge still remains: Finding the right formula of Dame and Simons, that will lead to overall team success. Fact is, this has been impossible for Chauncey to achieve with Dame being unable to perform. To this point, Watching last night's side show with Dame made me very uneasy. Reggie Miller and Haynes did a masterful job of empowering Dame. Question for all of you... What if Dame decides to reject Chauncey's new way of doing things, and like a virus, tries to get it out of HIS' system? I worry I may have just seen it in this game. Wouldn't be the craziest thing ever in my time watching the NBA, to see a franchise player rebel against change, after trying to (hypothetically) adapt his game to the new style, but feeling the old way(STOTTS) suited him better. Next question... Might that result in a face-off of sorts, and ultimately a power grab by Dame? Might we see this happen in the very near future, because I think it's a very real possibility that I believe Cronin likely would has a contingency for. I could see Dame play a the very dangerous game that he very much thinks he will win, but end up losing if Jody and Cronin see things Chauncey's way in a game of chicken, should Dame decide to go there, ala It's Me or Him. Crazy, I don't think so at all, as we gear up for a show down with Lebron's(LeGMs) Lakers. Dame is an obvious student of King James, and an imitator of his massive media branding outside of actual hoopin' it up. But Dame's no Lebron, and backfire to a power grab is easily foreseeable to me, and I as a "BLAZER" fan, actually hope it happens.

(Tin-Foil Hat) Dame isnt actually injured but has been benched because the front office found he was the head of a child pedophile ring, in the back of smoke filled rooms while Billups waterboarded him and Jody Allen sat watching behind one-way glass he spilled the beans - LBJ and Mickey Mouse are the heads of the snake. Sadly this all started with Gary Payton JR who only would be out this long if he too was invested in this diddling ring. Hopefully in the end we can trade for Mark Williams who has an untarnished reputation in regard to diddling kids and has the size and strength to keep Dame and Payton away from the children.

A Blazers loss on national TV? Not surprised.

Hey Wizenheimer, Powell sure looked good playing in his natural SG position.

Wizenheimer: Yeah. Against the Blazers' defense.

Fair enough.
Because love can burn like a cigarette.
And leave you left with nothing.
Leave you left with nothing.
