Another scam.
I feel like guys that can create their own shot and sometimes make crazy ones get overvalued, with the belief that that specific skill can be honed and cultivated with eyes on efficiency and stardom.
But mostly, and I mean at least 95% of the time, they are just the next Alec Burks.
Depends on shot volume and ISO points per possession.
Guys like Tobias, would choose their spots to maintain good points per possession
Guys like Barrett, dont choose their spots and just wreck their points per possession
This is why guys like Embiid, Harden, Durant and Luka are valued because they have both volume and points per possession
The mistake i find most teams make is they like to let these type of guys run their offense, which prevents you to hunt for easy shots that lead to not always having good team offense.
Most of these guys have the Melo/Mamba mentality, they can’t distinguish when to take tough shots or when to pass the ball. Look at how well our team is playing when Biid starts to share the ball.
The way to run it IMO is how the suns do it. Let CP3 hunt you easy baskets and if its denied then you dump it to Booker for ISO. Or how the Spurs do it where they run their dribble drive then if its denied then they dump it to Duncan. The spurs model is how I want our team to run their offense
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
