We stopped dedicating our entire offense to trying to get him 10 open looks just so he could average 13 ppg.

I know the market was sort of set for a guy of Duncan's "talents" as a 3 point shooter, but Miami not only gave him a long term and they gave him + market value. If he wanted the market value cap hit, then the term should of been less. If he wanted term, there should of been a discount on cap hit.
I just think Duncan got complacent after getting his bag. Some players just seem to stop wanting to improve once they get paid, especially when the contracts are guaranteed. He seems to be one of them. Not saying he needs to be in the gym 365 days of the year but it's not a good look when you **** the bed year one of your extension and you're doing podcasts and other silly ****. And then year two it's the same ole ****.
