He got paid.

We stopped dedicating our entire offense to trying to get him 10 open looks just so he could average 13 ppg.

If we make the same mistake with Strus that we made with Duncan, I swear to god I'm going to punch someone smaller than me in the face. :box:

after that awful 1st quarter, the heat got their crap together and beat the clips. this team can beat anyone if they play with effort and with good DEFENSE. the problem is that the team as a whole is not healthy enough and also seems to lack continuity in their playmaking.

yesterday proved that its paramount that bam and jimmy and herro to have their own thing going in order to have a chance to win.

lets see if this carries over agaisnt the spurs

yes its a trap game

Don’t tell that to the Heat front office. They’re probably busy trying to include a first rounder to deal Lowry so that they can free up cap to overpay Strus and Gabe next

IMO there's nothing wrong with wanting to keep Strus or Vincent. The issue is term/cap hit.
I know the market was sort of set for a guy of Duncan's "talents" as a 3 point shooter, but Miami not only gave him a long term and they gave him + market value. If he wanted the market value cap hit, then the term should of been less. If he wanted term, there should of been a discount on cap hit.

I just think Duncan got complacent after getting his bag. Some players just seem to stop wanting to improve once they get paid, especially when the contracts are guaranteed. He seems to be one of them. Not saying he needs to be in the gym 365 days of the year but it's not a good look when you **** the bed year one of your extension and you're doing podcasts and other silly ****. And then year two it's the same ole ****.

Duncan became a head case. He has the yips and has even admitted to seeing a shrink. He needs a change of scenery but nobody wants damaged goods on that contract.

If Duncan finds his shot again, this team could be a sneaky playoff team.
