Yes he is, when you consider his contract, the fact that he has plateaued, and that he is at best a #4 option on a championship caliber team.

Maybe he's a James Harden disciple instead!

He can't hit 3's so that's a bit tough.

or play d

I know. He should focus on getting better at shooting 3 pointers and defense, because him trying to create his own shot is painful to watch.

RJ makes up his mind as to what he's going to do before he gets possession of the ball, and it doesn't matter if the probability of him succeeding is 0% he's still going to force the issue.

You can see when it’s about to happen when he demands the ball as he backs himself up to the half court line for that running start.

bearadonisdna wrote:Looking at RJs volume
Shots per game are identical to Brunson .
RJ is only making 1 less shot per game on same volume .

RJ
6.3 \ 15.6

Brunson
7.3 \ 15.6

The differential here isn’t huge and Brunson has been pretty good AND making more than double than RJ .
It’s only a 1 shot make difference so there’s some silver lining .

Barret's one of the least efficient scorers in the league, the same as it ever was, the same as it ever was, and brunson is above average.

My opinion hasn't changed since day 1, wish we traded the pick or moved back. RJ has never been good.

Barrett is just erratic, that's his problem

1st game of the season: 11 points on 17/00/83 shooting splits

Next 11 games: 21 ppg on 47/34/77 shooting splits

Next 5 games: 13 ppg on 26/08/72 shooting splits

Last 11 games: 21 ppg on 44/38/81 shooting splits

Not a bust, but the 6 really terrible games he had this season make him look bad
