Not even close. According to Sportrac.com, Kawhi's has made $325 Million career NBA salary. The average salary of a CFO (one of the C-Suites) is around $400,000. For this C-Suite executive to equal Kawhi's salary would require that CFO to work for 813 years!
As for Kent's assertion of fans being "selfish" or "butt-hurt," don't forget we indirectly pay his salary. Without fans, Kawhi would have to get a real job. When you're being paid like a rock star and you're not performing to expectations for whatever reason, you're going to hear it from those who made you rich. It comes with the territory.
As for whether Kawhi being on a list of all timers, I vote no. He's had a few great seasons but they are dwarfed by his need to be load managed along with his vast arsenal of missed games. The end.
If you think the avg cfo is as valuable as an nba superstar ur off your rocker. There are literally thousands of them. Kawhi a top 15 player. People who are top 15 at valuable things get paid tons of money. That’s capitalism . The clippers know his health and availability and have him the money. Steve ballmer cool with that, idk why fans aren’t.
As for all time though, I think grant hill snubbed off the list I think. Wouldn’t kawhi just be bill if he didn’t manage his injuries the way he has? And maybe bill Walton or a couple others could have crazy playoff runs and get that kawhi level of accolades.
Here’s a fun one, how does he compare to harden? Harden is an all time great. Harden no show in numerous playoff series. Kawhi no show rs, all time great in the playoffs. Does rs matter more? Or PLayoffs? Who’s higher
Because fans want to actually watch these guys play against each other. We don't watch the games to argue over who is hypothetically better when they actually feel like suiting up.
Harden bombing in the playoffs is still more admirable than Kawhi chilling in the regular season.
