Thanks for posting this.
- Can't see Orlando making a deal since they can easily sign VanVleet this summer with their capspace.
- Mavericks package highlights how insanely difficult it is for them to land another star player next to Luka...... that's a no for us.
- Lakers and Clippers package no.... maybe if Lakers include both 27 and 29 unprotected 1sts for one of FVV or Trent, but still no...
- Knicks looks more promising. They may do it with Fournier instead.
I agree with ORL, they'll likely stay put and use cap space in the offseason instead. It's better for them to get another good draft pick this year anyways than to accelerate the rebuild too quickly.
The supporting cast for the Mavs is pretty meh. The prize would be the 2025 pick. If that has very loose protection or better yet unprotected, then we'd consider it I think. If Mavs throw in 2027 FRP as well, then yes please.
No thanks to the Clippers trade, but the last Lakers trade is a high risk high reward type trade. We'd be banking on the post Lebron Lakers era to suck, but those picks are really far out. The good thing is we can always trade those picks later for other assets.
Out of all of them, the NY Trent trade has the most potential of happening.
The thing about those Laker picks is that they're in Los Angeles. It's so far down the road they can easily sign a superstar again. And those picks lose alot of value, especially with the cap going up again.
