Thanks for posting this.

- Can't see Orlando making a deal since they can easily sign VanVleet this summer with their capspace.
- Mavericks package highlights how insanely difficult it is for them to land another star player next to Luka...... that's a no for us.
- Lakers and Clippers package no.... maybe if Lakers include both 27 and 29 unprotected 1sts for one of FVV or Trent, but still no...
- Knicks looks more promising. They may do it with Fournier instead.

I agree with ORL, they'll likely stay put and use cap space in the offseason instead. It's better for them to get another good draft pick this year anyways than to accelerate the rebuild too quickly.

The supporting cast for the Mavs is pretty meh. The prize would be the 2025 pick. If that has very loose protection or better yet unprotected, then we'd consider it I think. If Mavs throw in 2027 FRP as well, then yes please :).

No thanks to the Clippers trade, but the last Lakers trade is a high risk high reward type trade. We'd be banking on the post Lebron Lakers era to suck, but those picks are really far out. The good thing is we can always trade those picks later for other assets.

Out of all of them, the NY Trent trade has the most potential of happening.

The thing about those Laker picks is that they're in Los Angeles. It's so far down the road they can easily sign a superstar again. And those picks lose alot of value, especially with the cap going up again.

I imagine the KNYs are hording their FRPs trying to catch a star in the off-season. I'd love to get Quickley and a FRP back from them.

I do feel knicks are looking for that homerun trade

That's why I feel if SGA was available, knicks would offer
Barret
Grimes
Bunch of unprotected picks

Hi yall, I was listening to CJ McCollum's podcast where they started talking about Raptors' fall off this season and there was one interesting quote to share:

"Something's gonna happen, I don't know what, there's rumblings about certain players on the team not being happy, and due to tampering, I can't speak to that... They're gonna move someone at some point"-CJ McCollum on his podcast talking about Raptors

Thought I'd share here, apologies if someone already has shared it.

If the Raps still want to win-now then this is the move to make. If you can keep OG and Siakam out of the deal then it makes a lot of sense.

"If"?

Raps are one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league, and are having problems defending at the point of attack against fast athletic guards.

Trae and his 31% 3-point shooting (less than Scottie's) this season will fit this team like a glove - but not exactly The Glove.

Trae Young started the season poorly and I can’t deny that but in his last 10 games he’s shooting around 39-40% from 3 while putting up something like 29/10. I believe he’s turning the corner.

Trae takes twice as many 3s as Scottie and the 3s he’s taking are much more difficult. Only 35% of the 3s Trae takes are assisted whereas for Scottie it’s 82%. You can’t just look at the 3-point percentage. Trae is taking the more difficult 3s and he’s creating most of those shots on his own.

I think his passing and playmaking are elite on top of his scoring and offensively he would fit like a glove on this team.

The reason the point of attack is such a big concern for the Raptors is because they have no rim protection. We’ve seen many teams win with a poor defensive guard. It’s not a big deal imo if there’s help behind them.

If we are trading for Trae then they must get a Turner or Poeltl.

There is a rift in the team, people just don't want to admit it. Guys want their shots.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

we probably value Ayton more favourably than Cam (and if I recall correctly we had interest in Ayton last summer before the Suns retained him), so in terms of the proposed deal, yes that makes it better. Though I still don't think we'd trade O.G. for either.

Ayton sure laid an egg in Toronto. He seems like a big risk. Rather keep OG.

Love their club , so much depth too. Nance, Alverado, Trey, Herb are great support

They likely just roll in playoffs with same group and see what happens. hard for them to make any deals at this stage

OG for DD, Hayes and Kira Lewis JR works in the trade checker. Plus picks. Or even better try to get Murphy lll along with DD. NO's is one of the few interesting destinations for OG.

They are already scary, Zion is an absolute beast and they have a good blend of vets and young guys. Bring Dyson home! haha

I'd guess OG. Vegas odds suggest he is most likely to be traded. CJ must know something. GT senior I believed stated that GTJ would happily stay in TO provided they pay him, but of course that was before the benching. lol

I think FVV is happy here as long as we pay him, same as GTJ.

My first guess would be Trent...then FVV

Ever since Trent got benched & was pushed to accept the 6th man role I feel like the probability of him not staying with the Raptors increased significantly.

The trio of Zion, Ingram, and OG would cement the Pelicans as contenders for the next 5 years in the West. I would be shocked if their FO isn't on the phone with Bobby/Masai right now.

Trent was the one who got benched when he struggled....FVV on the other hand has a loose leash, no matter how bad he struggles Nurse won't tighten that leash.

It is impossible to not like their situation but I do questions the long term viability going forward in that market as far as paying the tax. People like to throw out go for it moves for them but I just don’t see them going deep in the tax. They are probably good waiting regardless. Similar a little to Memphis but I trust them spending a little more.
A move I could see them doing is Jaxson Hayes for Thad Young. Thad is from New Orleans. Haynes is an RFA. Gives them an experienced vet. I’d want an additional 2nd as the Raps unless Masai likes Hayes and thinks he’s got a future here. Pels can’t afford to resign him regardless.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

i feel like it have to be Dyson, and at least the Laker's picks

Return to Toronto Raptors
