He missed 3 shots in the 2nd half...he just didn't shoot much.
This was Embiid's biggest game of the season (like the All-Star game last year where he went out to chase an accolade)...for Jokic this was just another game - he shot 12x (lower than average), Embiid shot 31 shots (he has shot 30+ FOUR TIMES in his career...). He cared a LOT about the game, Jokic dgaf lol.
idk what you are trying to say but what you ended up saying is Jokic didn't care about winning?
Why doesnt he care? Seems important when youre paid a quarter of a billion dollars to win
It's just a regular season game to him. No more important than a game vs. the Spurs, for example.
For Embiid, this was the game he gets up for, puts up almost a career high in FGA. He's pissed off about not winning MVP, about not being an All-Star starter, etc.
Jokic does care about this game, just as much as he cares about the other 82...not more, not less.
Embiid...this was the one he WANTED. He wouldn't have shot 31x if he didn't.
What I mean when I say "Jokic dgaf" is he doesn't care about putting up the #'s himself. There was a few occasions tonight when he could have taken a shot that he had 70-80% chance of making, but passed it up for the 95% chance layup - for example when he spun past Embiid, Harden was waiting in paint he could have taken a ~75% shot (based on this season's sample of Jokic at that range) right over Harden from a few feet out but passed it off to a cutter for a free layup.
