His leverage is high. They should just pay him. I know the owner is hesitant but he's a hell of a lot more tradeable and will have far more value if he is under contract for 4 years. No team may want him now but would later if he keeps his head down like he has since his apology or whatever.
Do you think Kyrie is capable of keeping his head down and just balling for an extended period of time? Last time he did that was what early Cav days?

I don't know. I never thought so but the COVID thing was a little different. I do think he would create something but after the hot water he got in with the Jewish stuff, I think he may have gotten a bit of a wakeup call with Silver involved and all that and if he's paid, I think it's a slight possibility.
I can understandd why BKN is hesitating on a long term guaranteed deal. I think they had already offered one with incentives on games played and team options, etc.
I still think they almost have no choice. Can't let stars walk away if they make you a contender when healthy and playing. I know many believe they are not close to contender with him, KD and role players, and maybe Simmons still getting back to form, but I think they are. They were way up there even with their terrible start when Kyrie came back...probably the best overall record for a stretch.
