Yeah I thought they had a shot at improving overall but don’t think this is it.

Was an absolutely terrible move for Dallas imo. Potentially lethal basketball-wise short and long term, that’s tough to pull off.

Either a miracle happens and Kyrie behaves, or he **** up the team like Rondo did and he walks and Luka asks out within a few years

Or he says that he’ll re-sign and bolts this summer

Another scenario: Brogdon to Orlando, Harris-or-Ross and Mo Bamba to Toronto, Cole Anthony to Charlotte, Gary Trent Jr. and Jalen McDaniels to Boston. (We *save* 3.2 million dollars.)

Durant will be outta there in the summer.

Nets are actually better now

Sure, if winning regular season games and being a hard out is your goal. Any championship dreams they had are done and offensively in the post season they will struggle.

This trade was never gonna be a win but it’s a superstar league- while chances were slim the kyrie KD iteration ever got it got it together to win a ring. They are 100% dead now.

Yeah, we can dress this pig up all we want (and BKN did the best they could in an impossible situation), but this is the equivalent of getting 2 dimes back for a quarter. If I'm KD, I'm pretty pissed right now. I'm sure Tsai is gonna try to sell the hell out of this situation to KD but if I'm him, I wouldn't buy it. Not sure I wanna captain this **** anymore.

Which inexorably, brings us back to...well you know where...

1. KD is upset with the Nets since last summer. Nothing must have changed.

2. Brad is not trading Jaylen.

Boston is not giving up a 1st for any of these oft mentioned targets; Olynyk, Poeltl, Vandy, Reid, Burks, etc. These are guys who would be minimal playoff contributors if at all, and assuming it was a 2025 1st, it would mean going forward that they couldn't trade a 1st until the 2027 draft. None of those players are close to being worth having that limited flexibility. If Brad was going for a surprise target like OG, that would be different.

Any deal that involves Brogdon would be a hard pass for me. He’s only one or two of our guys that can constantly attack the basket, can shoot perimeters, 3pts and shoot a high percentage of his free throws. I’d be pissed if we trade him for trent and Mcdaniels. That would be crazy awful!

This really shouldn’t be that hard to figure out. Why did we keep turning the ball over in the playoffs ?

It's too quiet on the Durant front, this may be when we are really trading for him. I'd rather people be leaking things. Surprise, is how Brad operates.

Can't believe the Lakers balked at the chance of reuniting Kyrie with Lebron.

Lebron, AD, and Kyrie would've been the new Big 3.

I don't think they balked at the chance -- they're the kind of stupid, dysfunctional organization where Irving would've fit nicely. They were probably just outbid by the Mavs.

Did Dallas really just pay as much for a 31 year old Irving as Boston did for him at 25?

As Kyrie will tell you, "money, and trade returns, are just constructs of the media that dehumanize athletes and there is no concrete information except for the information that they’re giving you. They’re particularly putting you in the direction of what to believe and what not to believe. The truth is right there, you just got to go searching for it."

At least half of this quote came verbatim from Kyrie's mouth.

Actually feel bad Doncic. Cuban on the other hand, you're better off in the shark tank than with this stupid investment.
