Get real with the nets are dramatically better stuff. They are better defensively but are no longer a championship team at all. And with kyrie dysfunction you could say they never were really but there was always the chance if they got their act together.

Yeah I thought they had a shot at improving overall but don’t think this is it.

Was an absolutely terrible move for Dallas imo. Potentially lethal basketball-wise short and long term, that’s tough to pull off.

Either a miracle happens and Kyrie behaves, or he **** up the team like Rondo did and he walks and Luka asks out within a few years

Sure, if winning regular season games and being a hard out is your goal. Any championship dreams they had are done and offensively in the post season they will struggle.

This trade was never gonna be a win but it’s a superstar league- while chances were slim the kyrie KD iteration ever got it got it together to win a ring. They are 100% dead now.

Yeah, we can dress this pig up all we want (and BKN did the best they could in an impossible situation), but this is the equivalent of getting 2 dimes back for a quarter. If I'm KD, I'm pretty pissed right now. I'm sure Tsai is gonna try to sell the hell out of this situation to KD but if I'm him, I wouldn't buy it. Not sure I wanna captain this **** anymore.

Boston is not giving up a 1st for any of these oft mentioned targets; Olynyk, Poeltl, Vandy, Reid, Burks, etc. These are guys who would be minimal playoff contributors if at all, and assuming it was a 2025 1st, it would mean going forward that they couldn't trade a 1st until the 2027 draft. None of those players are close to being worth having that limited flexibility. If Brad was going for a surprise target like OG, that would be different.

Any deal that involves Brogdon would be a hard pass for me. He’s only one or two of our guys that can constantly attack the basket, can shoot perimeters, 3pts and shoot a high percentage of his free throws. I’d be pissed if we trade him for trent and Mcdaniels. That would be crazy awful!
