Yeah, he will be paid next year (like Cam Johnson) but we can deal with that later.

Crowder + 2nd for Grant Williams and Gallinari (filler) would be fair enough?

I would think that if Williams were available for that kinda price, he would have been dealt already.

So I wonder what they'd be getting back? Maybe Lowry and Robinson? IF they do this, They'd absolutely not have any cap space whatsoever to possibly sign Irving! So IF this premise would happen, then wouldn't Irving be more likely to resign with Dallas??

I hope the lakers do that deal - Lowry has been horrible

They should want Chris Paul more than Lowry

I think this is coming from the Heat more than Laker. Pincus working for Riles

I don't understand what you guys are talking about here. Why would the Lakers get anything back of Westbrook is bought out? Isn't this tweet under the premise that Westbrook would go to Utah for picks, Conley and Beasley and Utah would by Russ out?

An important part of the quote that was discussed earlier.

Biggest thing that stands out to me now? “If ‘I’ can” not, “if ‘we’ can”. Dude is gonna be majorly hands-on.

Better to read it this way ...

If I can trade a player that is not playing (Crowder) and invest my money in a player that is playing we have gotten closer to a championship. If I can do more than that by spending more money to get a star instead of a Crowder/journeyman player that would better.

Good! Then they can choose to step up the value of their offer!!!

Is this site reliable? Who is their source?

IDK...for the Bucks to go "all in" probably means to trade Connaughton and I don't want him.

Hopefully they are working with a third team.

Not sure as to his sources, but he does have 18,000 followers and doesn't seem to post anything too provocative.

Any site with a name like this is not any sort of reliable source. Some of them actually link what they say TO an actual source. Real sources will use their real names. Why wouldn't they? They want cred. Like Flex has.

Nah! I believe that this premise is just another example (completely separate from) of what the Flakers might look to use Westbrick's expiring contract towards in terms of upgrades at the deadline: (either/or)

Possibility 1-
(This premise)
Westbrick to Miami (cap relief). And the Flakers would get back something along the lines of Lowry/ Robinson/ fillers or whatever?? Miami just wants to get off Lowry's salary because Arisan wants to reduce their tax penalty I believe.

Possibility 2-
(The Utah premise)
Westbrick/ 2 firsts (27' and 29' picks) for Conley/Beasley/ fillers (hopefully not Vanderbilt too).
But either team trading players/assets to the flakers for Westbrick's expiring is so they could buy him out for immediate cap savings or to just let him expire to reduce payroll / tax penalties as both teams are over tax line or very close to it already. So I think that may account for the mutual interest in these premises? :dontknow:

Durant will gut the roster and cost three FRPs and also is 35. Probably needs Aytons buyoff or you are trading Mikal

Siakam - it seems wouldn't gut the roster and might only cost 3 FRPs - granted would need Ayton to buy off

I am picking the second

I had a day-mare today that we gutted our team and traded a bunch of unprotected firsts for KD this offseason and then he tore his achilles again, effectively ending his career, and we still owed him huge money for a few years, were in the lottery because we had no more depth other than Book and one other starter, but being in the lottery didn't help because we didn't own our picks. Couldn't sign anyone either because we had the Booker supermax, the KD contract and Bridges.

yeah but they had #Sources which means it's 100% legit. No one would put #Sources if they didn't have sources !

What the **** is that trash?

This cannot be real. The Mavericks have nothing of value to trade.

I actually heard from someone I know connected in Dallas who had told me they want Ayton and are talking to the Suns and I said "I am not sure who we'd get unless it was a S&T in the offseason for Kyrie and McGee for Ayton and Shamet or something"...

Then he mentioned now so I figured at least Wood would have to come back but didn't think much of it.

Well for all those who wanted to see Ayton and Luka on the same team, they'd finally get to see it!

So Luka, Kyrie and Ayton huh? Good thing Ayton apparently sucks................right  according to so many so even with those two IF it ever happened, they still wouldn't "Dominate" us!...lol

I don't see a big star moving to Phoenix in a trade. Gotta look at realistic trade where we give up Crowder and a pick and get someone playable in return. Something like

Suns
Bojan Bogdanovic
Nerlens Noel

Pistons
Crowder
Saric
Shamet
1st round pick + some 2nds

Bojan would be an offense sparkplug from the bench and is a deadly 3-point shooter.
Noel can work PnR with CP3 like in his best seasons at OKC as a backup to Ayton

I'd rather keep Dario than get Noel.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

So the master plan is to again try and pursue Durant this offseason. And we're basically going to hold off on any big moves around the deadline to chase Durant instead? :dontknow:

I definitely obviously want Crowder moved, for just about anything at this point, and they better not wait too much longer.

Other than that though I am also definitely more afraid that we make a bad move than no move at all.

"We’ve got to make sure we put ourselves in a great position,” Ishbia said [of the current season and the upcoming trade deadline on Thursday]. “I think we have an amazing team and I think we’re in a great position right now. Will I be involved? Yes. Are we highly active? Yes.

“But at the same time, I think we have a championship-contending team without doing anything over the next two days
.".

"I’m going to spend a lot of time listening and learning, then make the adjustments to make this not only one of the best organizations in the NBA but also one of the best places to work,” Mat Ishbia told The Associated Press. “That’s a huge part of my success here in Michigan and it will be a big part of our success now in Phoenix. I don’t have enough information to know what exactly it’s been like, but I will dig in and roll up my sleeves and figure it out over the next three, four, five months-plus.”

“We’re all about culture,” Ishbia said. “We’re all about people. We’re all about the word ‘team.’ It’s almost like a match made in heaven — the city, the location, the NBA, my love of basketball. And I can come in, take some of the really good things they’re doing but maybe make some changes from a culture perspective.

If the Raptors really want KD this offseason they should hold on to all their pieces right now. Knowing OG is probably on the move that would be a nice piece for Brooklyn. Add a guard in there with him and a couple picks, I don't see us coming close to beating that. Even with Bridges it would be hard unless they loved Ayton.

Yeah if this is true, it’s just completely foolishness. Are we gonna stick around and wait for Durant to become available every year? Meanwhile he’s gonna be 35 yrs old and even more injury prone next season.

There’s rumors that the new owner wants to bring Bob Myers in if the Warriors don’t re-sign him. Would be amazing if we can get Myers to replace James Jones.

Return to Phoenix Suns
