While I’d love for this to be a precursor for a trade, I can easily see Tsai saying to Marks: “If we have less star power on the team than before, find a way to save me some money to compensate for any potential corresponding decline in ticket sales and in-stadium merchandise.”
Yeah I think it was strictly a money making move... Maybe there's a buyout player we fill it with but I doubt it.
