Lol as far as I'm concerned, the Knicks acquired talent (Cam) + assets only to give them up for a dang 28yo role player to appease this delusional win-now coach.
Yeah Hart averages 8rpg which is damn good, but he's your role role player, already peaked at 28yo and averaging 9ppg. So to get him we gave up a pick + Cam who's already averaging 8ppg in the piss poor role Thibs gave him, he has lockdown D and unteachable length Hart doesn't have, has a superstar ceiling (22.3ppg on 58FG% whenever he takes 10+ FGA this season), and is only 23yo.
I think Cam already circled 15th March when we face Blazers, he gonna drop 30+ on Thibs. Chauncey (late bloomer himself) is gonna emphatize with him, he's a great kid, gonna give him opportunities, gonna groom him, and Thibs in a lot of ways was the best thing that could happen to Cam, he's gonna seize his next opportunities and achieve superstardom RoboJ, JB (legit All Star but is no the go-to superstar in the playoffs), or Julius (only acts like a winner when he posts numbers, but will be a cancer when he chokes in playoffs) can never reach. Then we'll look back and say we really blew it.
If you wanna be successful, it's simple just do the exact opposite failures do. We've been largely a failure since the turn of the century. I wish we could have done exact opposite the things we'd normally do, e.g. hold onto Cam, and then we might become successful for once.
