They’re a much younger, more athletic, deeper, much better run team than the Sixers are. So the analogy doesn’t work IMO.

Something to think about.

Did Wade (owner of Jazz) help facilitate the trade for his buddy LeBron?

That Raptors trade was a head scratcher, Poetl has been bad this season, how in the hell are the raptors not getting something better at the 5 with all heir assets?

What happened to all that Precious potential?

Are they really gonna insist on that core?

Well, the Nets were able to reset back to square one. Now they’re in the same position they were pre-Harden trade. Gotta love having a new owner who will trade you 5 picks.

Devin Booker now seems poised to break through and win his first championship.

He already took his Suns to the Finals once. Battled through some adversity with ownership turnover. And now he has recruited a future hall of famer as a sidekick to help him win his first title.

Giannis is clearly the top dog among the under 30 dudes trying to own an era. But Booker and Tatum are snipping at his heels trying to breakthrough and win their ring.

It's protected 1-4.

It's a great trade at the end of the day they got a 1st for Vanderbilt. Conley contract is awful and worse than Russ. People need to stop talking about him like he has any sort of value he is a - asset. Beasley wasn't worth much and his contract would have been difficult to move for another expiring + picks in a separate deal. Did he rip off the Lakers? No but he did well and because Westbrook is expiring and Conley next year is off the books he'll have even more cap space to take on another contract for picks in the offseason should there be an opportunity.

Lakers made out well mainly because of DLO. If it was just Conley, Beasley, Vanderbilt for a 1st plus westbrook the trade is pretty average. Minnesota got taken they would have been better off just letting DLO expire or doing a sign + trade in the offseason.

I took that ring away from him. While the Cavs are technically his drafted team, he re-joined them as a mercenary.

So LeBron has won zero rings as a franchise player by my super official record book that I keep in my head.

Kobe was the ultimate fraud since he didn't win a single one with the Hornets.

Sarcasm and apples vs. oranges comparisons won't save LeBron and Durant from being properly relegated to bus rider status.

It's a different lane altogether from bus driving alphas like Kobe, Jordan, Steph, Giannis, etc.

I mean, none of this matters because everyone's opinion on who is the GOAT is different. I actually don't care which owner LeBron wins it all for. I care about his actual ability.

I wonder why Kobe, Jordan, Steph, and Giannis stayed with the same team. Could it be because their FOs were competent and surrounded them with great complementary players? I'm sure LeBron would have stayed in Cleveland his entire career if they made a single move to help LeBron. His final season there, the year that should be LeBron's best team to date, his runningmate was Mo Williams (lol) and a 33 year old Antwan Jamison. How can LeBron at the end of that season honestly look at the team and feel he has a chance at EVER winning an NBA championship with the Cavs?

I know I'm not going to change any minds about this and I'm not a big enough LeBron fan to sit around BSing over why he should be in the conversation. I just find the detractors of his greatness grasping at straws over why he's not as great (his personality, political beliefs, flopping/crying at calls or no calls, I guess leaving a bad situations to go to a better one).

Might be in the minority, but if Westbrook can cut his shots down, or at least only take high quality shots, at 5-10 mil a year and come off the bench then he's a very valuable piece.

The bench portion might be the toughest ask strangely enough.

He still has juice in the tank and plays with an exceptional amount of effort.
