I know you know this, but laying the #'s out really shows how little they aspire too period. Zero .500 or better seasons since taking over and a cumulative record of 116-157.
That's straight trash. It aint tanking (idiots, five years to figure this out and still clueless), it's accidentally being totally irrelevant and then failing to utilize any of the rewards for incompetence (draft capital). Winning percentage of .424 and they think it's just injuries and bad luck lol. Really?
So lets just say I'm relieved that the extent of the stupid they engaged in was trading Rui for nothing. It could have been worse, the worse probably happens in the offseason with more anvil grand mal idiocy contracts like Beals and Wall's and Mahinmi and on and on and on.
I'm starting to think its not by accident but rather by design.
Glad we will stay in the lottery and keep our pick though.
No guarantee we stay in the lottery. We’re now all in for #10… win a couple of games and bam, we’re in the real kids’ first round and lose our pick.
That schedule is definitely concerning. It looks like we should be able to to go somewhere between 12-16 and 15-13 in our last 28 at minimum. It's not that sort of schedule likely to push us down into sub 30 wins, we're definitely winning 35-40 games minimum barring an absolute litany of injuries. That puts us firmly in the 8th-11th area assuming reasonable health.
The good news is this team sucks, so more than likely, they play more around .500, finish at 38-39 wins, and lose the playoff if they make it.
As ridiculous as it is to say, part of me doesn't care if we lose the pick this year because lets be honest, as good a draft as it looks like, #1 we'll screw it up, and #2 that rookie deal will be wrapped before the litany of moronic contracts we'll sign will be donezo, so honestly this team is a 25-40 win team no matter what happens (well unless we won the lottery) for at least 3-4 years going forward, so might as well flush the pick now, when we're still years away from any hope whatsoever. But I hate throwing away a pick in a good draft.
It sucks to be a fan of this dumber than ---- team. "Punishing fans for more than 40 years". They should have a banner at the entrances that says that.
